A museum dedicated to telling the story of a busy WW2 airfield, its impact on the local community and its role in the fighter war both with the RAF and USAAF. The museum is open for the 2025 season on Sundays & Wednesdays starting 6th April 2025 until Remembrance Sunday.

What an incredible turnout—tons of amazing vehicles, fantastic weather, and brilliant vibes all day long. A massive thank you to everyone who came out to support us.
Events like this are what keep the museum doors open and our history alive, and we truly couldn't do it without this community. See you at the next one! The volunteers are well and truly wiped out and resting up!

We're almost there! Join us this Sunday at Bottisham Airfield Museum for our Classic Car, Bike & Military Vehicle Show.

Bringing a display vehicle? Drivers showing a classic car, bike, or military vehicle get FREE entry, plus free entry for 1 passenger! No need to register. simply drive in and see us at the gate to enter. You’ll be guided to park up. 9am Entry.

Your ticket gives you full access to view the vehicles and the entire museum.
Quick visitor tip: Vintage vehicles may start heading off before closing time, so aim to arrive earlier in the day to catch the full lineup! Pay on the gate.

We are approaching our Classic Car, Bike & Military Vehicle Show this Sunday at Bottisham Airfield Museum!

Gates open to the public at 10:30 AM, giving you plenty of time to explore the classic engines, military vehicles, and everything the museum has to offer—your show ticket includes full museum access!

A quick note: As these vintage beauties have journeys home, some vehicles may start leaving before closing, so pop down early to catch the full lineup.

Your event ticket also includes full admission to explore the museum!

On this day in 1944 Bottisham lost an incredible leader when Colonel Thomas Christian was KIA.

“War must have its toll, even sometimes at a price that may seem unreasonably high. Our Group paid the price when the Group and Station Commander, Colonel Thomas J. J. Christian, Jr. was reported Missing In Action on 12 August 1944 in the vicinity of Arras, France. Having been placed in command of this Group when in its infancy upon activation 10 February 1943 at Richmond, Va., Colonel (then Major) Christian molded a small and weak entity into a strong and hard-hitting unit that is helping to knock out the N**i power as the Allies push beyond Paris on to Berlin. Words are but silent testimony to the efficiency and admirable qualities of leadership displayed by this officer. His loss is noted in reverent tribute by all who had the pleasure to know, or serve under him.”
