🎉 Double Celebration for Sea Cadets Cambridge! 🎉

We are absolutely thrilled and immensely proud to share that two members of the unit have been recognised by the Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire for their outstanding dedication and service!

⭐ Corporal Champion – Appointed Lord Lieutenant's Cadet

A massive congratulations to Corporal Champion on being appointed as a Lord Lieutenant's Cadet. This is one of the highest honours a cadet can achieve, recognising exceptional leadership, commitment, and character. Corporal Champion will now represent the Sea Cadets at official royal and civic duties alongside the Lord Lieutenant over the coming year.

⭐ Commodore Gale Bryan – Meritorious Service Certificate

We are equally proud to celebrate our Unit Chairman, Commodore Gale Bryan, who has been awarded the Lord Lieutenant's Certificate for Meritorious Service. This award is a testament to years of tireless dedication, leadership, and unwavering support behind the scenes.

It's been great to get back on the water over the last couple of parade nights. Thanks to Cambridge University Officers' Training Corps for allowing us use of their lake at Coldhams Lane for our 2026 boating season.

Best of luck to Sergeant Champion who has been at Altcar Training Camp in Merseyside undertaking the first part of the Military Map Reading, Fieldcraft and Tactics Train the Trainer course this weekend.

A busy couple of weeks mean that we've fallen a little behind with some of our social media but it is important for us to celebrate two successes from our April Divisions earlier this month.

We were delighted to enrol New Entry Cadet Mattless and Recruit Wagstaff as a Sea Cadet and Royal Marine Cadet respectively. The two Cadets said the Sea Cadet and Royal Marines Cadet Promises in front of the rest of the Unit and received their caps from the Commanding Officer. Well done to you both!

Two of our Cadets received presentations from the South East District Sea Cadets District Officer, Lieutenant Commander Janner-Burgess, at our March Divisions on Fri night .

Congratulations to Junior Cadet First Class Burton who was advanced to Able Junior Cadet and New Entry Cadet Mattless who received his Commodore's Broad Pennant from his time as a Junior Cadet.
