A very special evening for the Rotary Club of Cambridge South as we welcomed three fantastic new members into our club — Satomi, Carlo and Shaun.

It was a real pleasure to formally induct all three, and their enthusiasm and willingness to get involved is exactly what Rotary is all about.

Satomi brings a strong banking background together with excellent administrative skills, which will be a real asset to the club. Carlo brings considerable business experience, practical knowledge and a wealth of ideas. Shaun’s building and renovation skills are second to none and will undoubtedly be invaluable as we continue developing our projects and supporting the community.

Between them, they bring a tremendous range of skills, experience and enthusiasm, and we are delighted to have three such strong new Rotarians joining Cambridge South and helping us move the club forward.

The Rotary Club of Cambridge South is a friendly, active and growing club, bringing people together through fellowship, community service and fundraising. We support local, national and international causes and are always pleased to welcome people who want to use their experience and skills to make a positive difference.

A very warm welcome to Satumi, Carlo and Shaun — we are delighted to have you as part of the Rotary family.

We're gearing up for entering the Tommy McLafferty Cup this September, an annual football tournament for people experiencing homelessness in conjunction with Cambridge organisations and the Rotary Club of Cambridge South, and we need your help!

We're short on:

👟 Astroturf trainers/football boots (all sizes welcome)

⚽ Footballs

🦺 Football bibs/vests and shin pads

And any other football equipment you're happy to part with.

Our guest speaker is Gerry Johnstone, a highly respected figure from the golden era of British motorsport.

Gerry enjoyed a fascinating and successful career as an engineer, mechanic, race and test driver and was closely associated with the legendary Dealer Team Vauxhall operation at Shepreth. This is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand about his career, the personalities he worked alongside and some of the stories from behind the scenes of British motorsport.

🏍️ A Rare Opportunity to Meet a Motor Racing Legend!

The Rotary Club of Cambridge South is delighted to invite everyone to a very special Speaker Evening on Monday 24th August at the magnificent Madingley Hall.

Our guest speaker is Gary Johnson, one of Britain’s best-known motorcycle road racing legends and a multiple Isle of Man TT winner. This is a rare opportunity to hear first-hand stories from a remarkable racing career, learn what it takes to compete at the very highest level, and put your own questions to one of the sport’s true personalities.
