Longstanton Village Hall and Recreation Ground Charity

⚠️ UPDATE: Repairs have been completed ahead of schedule and the play area is back open for use. It will not need to closed next week ⚠️

To help keep the recreation ground play area safe and enjoyable for everyone, it will be temporarily closed for essential maintenance on Friday 15th May 2026. The play area will reopen for use over the weekend before closing again during the week commencing Monday 18th May while works are completed.

As part of this maintenance, the zipline will be removed. Unfortunately, it has reached the end of its safe working life and is no longer financially viable to repair.

While we appreciate this means the loss of a much-used piece of equipment, we are pleased to share some positive news: funding has been secured by the Parish Council to provide replacement play equipment at the Recreation Ground play area, rather than installing new equipment at the Home Farm Central Open Space. This will allow us to continue investing in and improving this valued community facility.

We appreciate your patience and understanding while these works are carried out.

A massive congratulations to our sunday men's team, for winning the league today!!!! Now onto the 26th April when they play in their cup final at Cambourne 10.30KO.

It will be a week for Cup Finals, as the Longstanton FC 1st Team are also in a final on April 22nd, 7.30pm KO at Histon FC.

Would be great to have as much support along to both finals...
