🚐 Exciting news from 11th/9th Cambridge Scouts! 🚐

We're delighted to announce that we have reached our fundraising goals and purchased a new (second-hand) 15-seat minibus for the Group.

This is a major investment in the future of Scouting in Newnham and will help our young people access even more adventures, camps, activities and events across the region and beyond.

This achievement would not have been possible without the incredible support of our volunteers, families, local community and everyone who has contributed to our fundraising efforts over the years. Thank you to everyone who has helped make this happen!

The minibus is now available for bookings to scout groups and other organisations. More information and booking details can be found at: www.newnhamscouts.org.uk/minibus

We're looking forward to seeing it in action and creating many more memories and adventures for our members.

Join us for an amazing sale with loads of bikes (including top brands Islabikes, Frog, Dawes and more), scooters for all ages, a fabtastic array of children’s clothes, toys, camping equipment and more!!

Enjoy testing out bikes 🚲 in the sunshine ☀️before you buy, delicious homemade refreshments 🧁 and having a browse! And to top it off - all funds raised today go directly into the Scourt Group’s minibus 🚐 appeal!

An enormous well done to our fantastic crew of bag packers today! An awesome total of just over £1300 collected towards the new minibus!

A massive thank you to Waitrose & Partners Trumpington for hosting us, and the wonderful generosity of the customers.

Our super Squirrels went on a nature adventure yesterday! We had awesome jar-bags to fill with things we found that were interesting, colourful, reminded us of spring, smelled nice, had a texture or we just liked! We enjoyed our ramble looking for what we wanted to collect, and finished up making pictures with all our findings!

And to top it off, finished by awarding over 30 badges, and 5 of our Squirrels completing the Chief Scout Acorn Award - the highest award a Squirrel can earn! 🥳🐿️

In the light of the publicity concerning the change in membership policies announced today by Girl Guiding UK as a result of last year’s Supreme Court ruling we would like to be clear that Scouting remains open to boys and girls regardless of what gender they identify as and none of our membership policies have changed.
