The cubs have landed! 🐼🥳

Last week, we had a pandtastic time at Cambridge City Football Club with our Cub Club Inspiration Workshop! 🎨⚽

Our Cub Club schools and community groups came along for a day filled with fun and creativity, picking up the cubs they will transform in the weeks to come into artistic canvases that will colour the town in spring 2027.

"It was very exciting to welcome all 39 Cub Club members to our Cub Club Inspiration workshop and for them to feel part of something truly special," said our Cub Club Leader Sophie.

Just a taste of the excitement still to come with Pandameander27! 💙 We can't wait to see our cubs in their new homes, spreading joy, art and panda-monium across Cambridge.

A shock diagnosis with secondary breast cancer has prompted the founder of Trash Chic, a curated secondhand clothing store, to sell her remaining stock to raise money for the hospital treating her. 👚🫶

“If there’s one message I want to share, it’s this: if you’ve had breast cancer and experience any new and unexplained symptoms, insist on a referral to a specialist who can get you in for an MRI. Be proactive, be persistent, be demanding if you have to be.”

With an estimated 61,000 people in the UK currently living with metastatic breast cancer, Cambridge’s Jane is sharing her story to raise vital awareness this month.

We'd like to look back at all the incredible initiatives you support that bring smiles, laughter and joy to young patients experiencing hard times in our hospitals.

From special visitors like the The Laughter Specialists Charitable Trust, the Giggle Doctors from Theodora Children's Charity and Spread A Smile who bring joy and play to sick children on our wards, to the incredible play team who enrich the lives of young patients across the hospital, and our fabulous partners who donate toys that keep the smiles going when children need it most.

It's thanks to your generous support that children can continue to laugh, sing and play on the wards of Addenbrooke's, even when undergoing treatment. 💙

👀 Last week we had an unBEARably special delivery! The pandas are here! 🥳🐼

Our Panda Meander sculptures arrived safely from Poland last Thursday to our incredible logistics partners, Welch Group, ready to head off to their artists to get glammed up for their big debut next spring. 🖌️

The team was so moved seeing them arrive safely in Cambridgeshire, and can't wait to see them painted and ready to be shown to the world! One step closer to Pandameander27! 🙌

One of our fundraising superstars, Jack Sibbons, who raised over £43,000 for ACT at the London Marathon 2026, is shortlisted for Fundraiser of the Year. Our finalist for Volunteer of the Year is Sally Laight who volunteers tirelessly to support ACT after Addenbrooke's saved her life '20 times over', and Carla and Dave Johnson, who host Alfred's Potato Day in memory of their little boy Alfred, are in the poll to win People's Choice Award.
