SUSPECTED ARSON IN TRUMPINGTON ?
The following email has been sent to the community by the Local Police

"Good morning, as I am sure you have all seen and heard there has been a series of bin fires in Trumpington and along Perne Road. We are working closely with Cambridge Fire and Rescue in relation to these incidents and have a trigger plan and patrol plan in place regarding this. Please reassure your residents and if they have any suspicions then to report it to the Police. A media post will be put out shortly in relation to this as well"

TM News Update
As part of the preparatory works for the new Park & Ride access roads (Cambridge South West Travel Hub) located just across the M11, National Highways have confirmed that the closure of the M11 hard shoulder lanes under the current farmers bridge will take place between 8am and 2pm tomorrow Thursday 27th.

We have now established contact with the parties involved in both the planning and delivery of this new hub and as a result have access to the planned schedule of works. If there are key moments that residents need to be made aware of during the construction phase, we will aim to let you know.

In addition, Cambridgeshire County Council has today published a proposal to introduce a 20mph speed limit zone in Trumpington Meadows. This will apply to roads to the west of A1309 Hauxton Road, including Consort Avenue, Osprey Drive and their side roads.

Event now delayed until Monday 26th at 10.30 due to rain 💦☔️🌧

Trumpington Meadows residents, please join us for a community litter pick on MONDAY 26th August at 10.30am, meet outside Sainsburys in the TM Local Centre.

It's the perfect opportunity to meet your friendly neighbours and then join us for a drink in the La Reina cafe afterwards. All welcome.

Hope to see you there. All litter picking equipment is supplied but please bring your own gloves if required.

Update - Anstey Hall are happy to sort this out 👏🏻👏🏻

Residents of Piper Road Trumpington Meadows

Trinity Estates Management update - "The landscaping team have reported to me that one of the trees belonging to Anstey Hall has fallen on the grass along Piper Road – photo attached.

This is a large tree and the cost for the team to cut down and move is quite high.

If the owner will not arrange removal, I suggest we put to him that we instruct our contractor to continue with this and the costs are re charged to him. We will need a guarantee in advance from him that he will settle these.

I wanted to let you know about this and apologise that the tree isn’t removed straight away but i think it’s important we make every endeavour first for the owner of Anstey Hall to attend to this as it is his tree."

Some highlights from Saturdays free Trumpington Meadows Chinese New Year event.

Thanks to everyone who came & joined in or took part in helping to set up, all the incredible performers, the back stage organisers who kept the 95 performers in line and the generous funding from the South Trumpington Parish Meeting & your residents association TMDAG who together all make events like this possible.

We hope that the 2024 year of the Dragon is a prosperous year and sends good fortune for all.
