Did you know we have several very active community WhatsApp groups which you can join if you live locally and want to connect with others in the community?

👋 Friendly Neighbours (Darwin Green, Franklin Gardens, King’s Court, others with connections to Darwin Green - community issues and events)

🏡 Homeowners (snagging and other homeowner issues)

🎁 Buy Sell Gift (items for sale or gifting in Darwin Green area)

🎾 Tennis (Darwin Green tennis courts)

🎒 Schools (a chat for local parents)

These are invitation only so if you’d like to join, just send us a DM or email the Residents’ Association at [email protected]

All members must follow the group rules:

* Be polite and kind
* Do not send spam
* Use first names only
* Do not swear; keep the chat family-friendly
* Never (ever!) talk about politics
* There is zero tolerance to aggression or anti-social behaviour in the chat or in Darwin Green, administrators may enforce moderation by removing users from the chat

🏓 Great news! Sport England has awarded a grant to Elenasy CIC to bring table tennis to the community at Darwin Green!

The programme has also secured funding for a permanent outdoor table tennis table to be installed in the local area. Once in place, it will be there for residents to use freely, at any time.

In the meantime, Get Active with Table Tennis sessions are being held every Saturday from 2 to 4 pm, in front of the Community Rooms, and they’re open to everyone, adults and young people aged 11 and over. No experience needed, no kit required, just turn up!

Get Active with Table Tennis is coming to Darwin Green - a new community initiative by Elenasy CIC, supported by Sport England. 🏓

Starting this May at Darwin Green Plaza, the sessions are designed to bring young people and adults together through simple and accessible physical activity, creating more opportunities to move, connect, and spend time together away from screens.

The sessions will be led by a Table Tennis England-trained coach, helping to make the experience welcoming and accessible for all skill levels.

Sunny afternoons, creative play, coding, and community 🧩☀️🏓

Another great activity for young people organised by Elenasy CIC! A chance for children to learn with LEGO, learn through board games, explore coding, and try table tennis together at the official launch of this week, powered by Sport England.

What started as simple weekend community sessions is gradually becoming something bigger a space where children, teens, and families can connect, think creatively, build confidence, move more, and enjoy healthier off-screen experiences together.

From problem-solving and teamwork to digital creativity and physical activity, learning and community can happen in fun, practical, and accessible ways.

Another exciting community project from Elenasy CIC 💜✍🏽

A Creative Writing Workshop is being launched for young writers aged 6–12 - a fun, supportive space where children can explore imagination, storytelling, poems, scripts, and creative expression while building confidence and connection with others.

This workshop encourages young people to create, think, express themselves, and share ideas in an engaging off-screen environment.

A fun, beginner-friendly coding club for young people aged 7–14 is launching at Darwin Green Community Rooms!

Over 6–8 weeks, children will learn how to:
🎮 Create games
🎨 Design animations
🌐 Build simple websites

…using the fantastic Raspberry Pi Foundation Code Club curriculum.
