Across Europe, social inequality, rising living costs, and inflation are shaping a reality in which even basic needs are increasingly difficult to meet. Everyday life is becoming harder for most of us, as a result of policies that place profit above people’s lives.
In this context, collective kitchens are not here to fill the gaps left by the state, but to stand against the logic that creates them and to build, in practice, another way of organizing life. We choose to organize collectively, to cultivate solidarity, to be inspired, and to develop other forms of social reality that make us stronger.
In this framework, we are coming together for an international gathering of collective kitchens from across Europe, aiming to build stronger bonds of solidarity and to reinforce our struggles. The event will bring together solidarity kitchens from different European countries, presenting their work, the social and political contexts in which they operate, as well as their perspectives.
