A moment of determination at the finish line. 🏃‍♂️

On Sunday, Sean — a member of the team — completed the Cambridge Half Marathon after months of dedicated training, raising funds to support our work with young people.

Watching him cross the finish line was a powerful reminder of what perseverance, generosity and community look like in action.

Our Founder and Chair shared this reflection after the race:

“Rain or shine, cold mornings and long days — Sean kept going. That quiet commitment, repeated over months, was truly inspiring.

Watching him reach the finish line yesterday was a powerful reminder of what determination really looks like.”

Sean ran to help raise funds for CB Mentoring, supporting mentoring programmes, creative workshops and safe spaces that help young people build confidence and realise their potential.

Thank you — and well done to everyone who took part in the Cambridge Half Marathon 💛

What does opportunity look like?

Yesterday, it looked like honest conversations, new ideas and young people asking bold questions about their futures.

Our Careers Day brought together inspiring speakers who shared their career journeys — reminding our young members that there isn’t just one path to success, and that their ambitions are valid.

Thank you to everyone who made it possible. Moments like these matter 💛

5 years of CB Mentoring 💛

On 18 February 2021, CB Mentoring officially became a registered charity.

What started with a vision to support and empower young people has grown into a community of mentors, volunteers, partners and families who show up week after week to make a difference.

Over the past five years, we’ve:
✨ Built The Bridge Saturday school
✨ Supported young people across Cambridgeshire
✨ Partnered with incredible organisations
✨ Welcomed passionate volunteers into our family

And none of it would have been possible without you.

To every young person, parent, volunteer, supporter and partner — thank you for believing in our mission.

Here’s to the next five years of confidence, opportunity and community 💫

We had so much fun creating with artist Anna Brownsted and Karen Thomas, Community Manager at Kettle’s Yard.

Inspired by both Kettles House and the breathtaking paintings in the Another Chance Encounter exhibition by Turner prize winning painter Lubaina Himid, we created eco friendly props and had so much fun getting our hands dirty.

A massive thank you to and in particular for showing us around the museum. It was astonishing to hear the complicated histories and untold stories behind some of the different specimens that are held by the museum.
