Centre 33 - supporting young people in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Centre 33 provides free and confidential support and information for young people up the age of 25. https://linktr.ee/centre33camb

We have hubs in Cambridge, Ely, Huntingdon, Peterborough and Wisbech. Welcome to Centre 33's page. We aim to create a space where we can champion the voices of young people, celebrate their stories and have meaningful conversations about support for young people. We welcome a range of views and opinions, but our priority is keeping this page safe and respectful for young people and our on

line community. Comments may be removed if they are discriminatory, defamatory, abusive, threatening, encourage violence, involve swearing and anti-social behaviour or include content our audience might find distressing. Repeated failure to abide by these guidelines may see users blocked from our page without warning. While social media operates 24 hours a day, it is not possible for us to moderate comments at all times. Inappropriate comments might sometimes be on our page until we are able to review and remove them. We trust our followers to ignore inappropriate comments and or report them directly to Facebook (using the 'x' in the top right hand corner of the post). Young carers tell us over and over how hard it is to get a break. At Centre 33 we always aim to ensure young carers have the same opportunities as other children and young people their age including getting a break from their caring responsibilities.
Once again, our summer programme 😎☀️featured an array of wonderful days out and fun activities. A big thank you to our supporters including Peterborough City Council - Local Youth Transformation Pilot and Cambridgeshire Community Foundation - Warwick & Dominey Fund, Hereward Community Rail Partnership and Rotary Club of Cambridge UK and for helping to make this possible 🙏👏🧡

Worried about exam results day? We have some words of wisdom from the team at Centre 33.

1. Plan the day📕

Think of a quiet place where you can get a minute to yourself if you need it. Whatever your grades, understanding your next steps can also help you feel less overwhelmed in the moment.

2. Try not to compare yourself to others 🫵

Focus on your own results. Social media might feel overwhelming - it's okay to take some time offline.

3. Surround yourself with support 👫

Decide who you'd like around you - will having friends or family with you help? Would you feel more comfortable on your own? Whether you collect your results in person or online, being around loved ones after will give you support and someone to plan next steps with.

And if you need support, you can find plenty of advice and resources on our website 🧡

Over the summer, our young carers had
the wonderful opportunity to spend three days creating
art with Karen, Rachel McGiven and the team from
Kettle's Yard.
The young carers explored different materials and
techniques, creating some amazing artwork. It was a
lovely few days filled with creativity, laugher and
conversation, and a wonderful opportunity for
friendships to grow through a shared experience of
making art together.
We feel incredibly fortunate to have such a special
relationship with Kettle's Yard. A huge thank you to the
wonderful team for making the three days so enjoyable,
and a very special thank you to Laura, our amazing
volunteer at Centre 33, for giving her time and support
throughout the three days.
