We have hubs in Cambridge, Ely, Huntingdon, Peterborough and Wisbech. Welcome to Centre 33's page. We aim to create a space where we can champion the voices of young people, celebrate their stories and have meaningful conversations about support for young people. We welcome a range of views and opinions, but our priority is keeping this page safe and respectful for young people and our on

line community. Comments may be removed if they are discriminatory, defamatory, abusive, threatening, encourage violence, involve swearing and anti-social behaviour or include content our audience might find distressing. Repeated failure to abide by these guidelines may see users blocked from our page without warning. While social media operates 24 hours a day, it is not possible for us to moderate comments at all times. Inappropriate comments might sometimes be on our page until we are able to review and remove them. We trust our followers to ignore inappropriate comments and or report them directly to Facebook (using the 'x' in the top right hand corner of the post). Peterborough City Council are interested in hearing the voices and views of local children and young people. The Young People's Safety survey explores young people's experiences and views about safety in Peterborough. All answers are anonymous and the survey will take around 10 minutes to complete. If you would like support with the survey, you might want to ask your parents or carer to do it too. Link in comments

This Carers Week we focus on the importance of building carer friendly communities. We understand that caring for a family member can be hard – but by listening to the voices of young carers and young adult carers we can work together to ensure these young people have the community they need. This is a poem by Eloise, a young adult carer we worked with.

It’s Carers Week🧡 and today we were invited by Cambridgeshire and Peterborough Foundation Trust to be at the Peterborough City Care Centre for their Carers Week celebrations. This year’s Carers Week theme is Building Carer Friendly Communities. At Centre 33, we work across the community to help make sure young carers get the support they need. We work closely with our community to help schools, health services, community organisations and professionals better identify, understand and support young carers. Working together, we know what a difference a community can make.

This Carers Week is focused on how we can build carer friendly communities. Centre 33 provide support for young carers (up to age 18) and young adult carers (up to age 25) who live in Cambridgeshire and Peterborough. We work with young carers, their families and their schools to reduce the negative impact of their caring responsibilities. We know that a whole community approach is essential to help provide these amazing young people with support and understanding.

It’s Volunteer’s Week! We’re so grateful to all our volunteers. Across the organisation, our volunteers work each day to help make a difference in the lives of local young people. We asked some of our volunteers why they volunteer for Centre 33:

“I was initially drawn to volunteer at Centre 33 because of the vital support they provide for young people across Cambridgeshire. Since I've been a part of the team, everyone I've met has been passionate and committed, and I relish being part of the Centre 33 family and contributing to their important work.”

Thank you to Karen, and to all our volunteers. Centre 33 would not be the same without you!

It’s Volunteer’s Week! We’re so grateful to all our volunteers. Across the organisation, our volunteers work each day to help make a difference in the lives of local young people. We asked some of our volunteers why they volunteer for Centre 33:

“I think it's the combination of being genuinely welcomed into the team and trusted to get stuck into real opportunities, knowing that the work I'm doing actually contributes to something meaningful. There's something really rewarding about seeing a tangible outcome from your efforts, and that's definitely been my experience so far.”

I'm a Cambridge native and was drawn to Centre 33. The organisation has always been on my radar, but what really drew me in was seeing how it operates up close. The level of care and effort that everyone puts in is genuinely impressive, and I really admire the support Centre 33 offers young people in the area.

Thank you to Lizzie, and to all our volunteers. Centre 33 would not be the same without you!
