This Sunday, one of our incredible supporters has a big birthday - and alongside his celebrations he's doing something truly extraordinary!

Richard is taking on a 60km triathlon for his 60th birthday to raise £600 for the Urostomy Association, a charity that means so much to him and his family. He'll be joined by friends and family along the way, making it a day to remember.

We are so grateful for his generosity, his determination, and his big heart. We'll all be cheering him on every step, stroke, and pedal of the way! 💪💪

If you'd like to support Richard, you can donate via his JustGiving page - every penny helps support people anxiously facing urostomy surgery, and then going on to live life to the full afterward.

Congratulations to Gail, one of our members, who has a letter published in The Guardian today!
Gail shares her experience of living with a urostomy, and her message to others facing the same journey is one of hope: it is life-changing, but manageable and, crucially, life-saving.
She highlights some of the practical realities of life with a urostomy, from planning around public toilet availability to always carrying a spare kit, and how the support of stoma nurse specialists makes a real difference.
We're proud that Gail mentioned the Urostomy Association as a mine of useful information, and we're proud to support members like her every day.
💚If you or someone you know is facing bladder surgery, please know that you are not alone.

We were delighted to join Invisible's meeting in Copenhagen this week. Invisible is a collaborative community uniting organisations committed to improving the lives of people living with intimate health conditions.

It was a valuable opportunity to share insights, strengthen connections and ensure urostomates' perspectives were raised - and fascinating to explore how priorities are being shaped at a European level.

A huge thank you to Coloplast for hosting the event and for giving participants a closer look at its ethos - including its research initiatives that help ensure products are shaped by the real, everyday experiences of its customers.

💙 Living with a stoma can feel isolating at times - but you don't have to navigate it alone.

There's something special about sitting in a room (or on a virtual call) with people who really get it. People who've been through the same fears, the same adjustments, the same moments of frustration, and come out the other side with wisdom, practical tips, and a whole lot of reassurance to share.

That's exactly what these upcoming events are all about. 💛

📅 This June there are 8 events to choose from:

🔵 Urostomy Association branch meetings in Cambridge and Leeds
🌟 Patient open days in Glasgow, Durham, Salisbury and Newmarket
🤝 Local support group in Gloucestershire
💻 Online support group - perfect if you're not near an in-person event, or simply prefer to meet from the comfort of home

Whether you're newly diagnosed, years down the line, or somewhere in between - come along, ask questions, swap tips, and meet others who truly understand.
