π Our art project, in collaboration with Cambridge Art Salon , has received a warm welcome from St Philip's CoE Primary School in Cambridge. We extend our heartfelt thanks to all the children for their incredible work and engagement. π¨β¨
Three classes came together for this project, which aims to create a magnificent Ukrainian flag using children's self-portraits on yellow and blue paper. πΊπ¦ These portraits symbolize the voices of the brave little ones residing in Ukraine, those who have sought refuge elsewhere, and those forcibly separated from their families and deported to Russia. It's a powerful representation of solidarity. ππ
During our interaction with the children at St Philip's, we had meaningful discussions about the experiences of moving countries amidst times of war. One touching moment was when a little girl proudly raised her hand and said, "I am Ukrainian." The classroom itself was a vibrant community of many different nationalities, making this project truly multinational and inspiring for everyone involved. π
We were astounded by the enthusiasm, understanding, and commitment shown by our children throughout the project. Their empathy and compassion are truly uplifting. As a gesture of love and support, we are sending their warm hugs back to the children of Ukraine. π¬π§ππΊπ¦
Thank you, St Philip's CoE Primary School, for being a part of this incredible initiative. Together, we are making a difference and spreading hope. πβ€οΈ
