A safe, high-quality cycle route is urgently needed through Milton and onto new and existing homes at Waterbeach and surrounding villages as part of the Greater Cambridge Partnership's Greenway network.

Please get involved in this engagement through the in-person events and online survey and let us know what else is needed from the proposals and what could be improved.

Walk Wheel Cycle Trust have been appointed by the Greater Cambridge Partnership to get community and resident feedback on alternative designs for route improvements through Milton Village as part of the Waterbeach Greenway.

The Greenway seeks to improve conditions for people walking, wheeling and cycling along the route. We are holding workshops where we will be seeking feedback on the designs to help shape the Greenway through Milton Village.

Let's zoom out for a moment. We are part of a much bigger cycling picture!

It’s estimated that 4.2 million people made 588 million trips on the National Cycle Network with an estimated saving of £317 million by the NHS (2022-2023).

Cambridgeshire is home to route 11 which travels 61 miles through beautiful fen countryside. Have you tried part of it?

All exercise is good exercise, but there’s something special about cycling outdoors. Fresh air, movement and a change of scenery can leave you feeling revitalised, energised and optimistic, while helping to ease feelings of tension and anger too.

Sometimes, a simple bike ride can make a big difference. 💚
