Last week the U3AC Cycling group visited Shepreth wildlife park to investigate the baby capybaras. They've grown to a size of about 40cm now and look very cuddly! Also attached is a photo of a few U3AC members whizzing past the All Saints church on their e-bikes. The next ride is a 27 mile loop to Willingham on Friday 5 June. And that is a wrap on our Summer term punting course (LEI 29: Punting on the River Cam)! Members had a fantastic time out on the water for their last outing, braving the River Cam (check out the photos below! πŸ‘‡). From mastering the pole without losing it to the riverbed to practicing those tricky turns, everyone in the group did a brilliant job!

Here is a photograph of the Three Mile Walking Group (FIT 43) outside All Saints Church in Rampton during their walk on 15 May. πŸ“ΈπŸ‘‡
The walk was led by Malcolm Dee, with Dieter Benziger and Bill Peters in attendance. They couldn't have asked for better weather - the sun was shining as they made their way along a scenic man-made watercourse and through some lovely woodlands. Of course, no great walk is complete without a proper finish! They rounded off the day with some fantastic beer and food at The Chequers in Cottenham.

This week, our FIT 35: The Wednesday Walkers group headed out to the beautiful Wicken Fen for their weekly trek. As you can see from the photos, the Cambridge weather was keeping them on their toes! One photo shows the atmospheric moment the rainstorm began to roll in over the horizon. The best part? Their timing was impeccable - the group made it back to the warmth of the pub just as the heavens opened!🌧️

April was a busy month for our walking groups, and Waresley was easily the crowd favourite! Our Thursday FIT 36: Rambling crew had a fantastic time soaking in the spring air and wandering through the stunning bluebell woods. There’s nothing quite like that sea of purple to make a weekly walk feel extra special.

Another fabulous walk by our FIT 35 Wednesday Walkers - this time exploring horse racing country. They set off from Dullingham for some fresh air and great company. They did, however, run into a bit of a "bottleneck" near Stetchworth... check out these two friendly and curious hazards they encountered while trying to navigate a stile! πŸ΄πŸ‘€
