✨ ANOTHER NEW PERMANENT EXHIBIT! ✨

We are thrilled to welcome another extraordinary vehicle to the Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum collection.

Donated to the museum in August, this stunning 1958 Mk II Ford Consul Highline 1700cc has remained with the same family for nearly six decades. Maintained to an exceptional standard and often described as looking as though it has "just left the production line", it has collected numerous Best in Show awards throughout its life.

The former owners cared deeply about the future of the vehicle and wished for it to be preserved and enjoyed by the public rather than sold. We are incredibly proud and honoured that they chose Atwell-Wilson Motor Museum to become its permanent home.

The car also has a unique connection with musical history, having featured in the biographical rock documentary Don't Forget Me: The Eddie Cochran Story, released in cinemas 11th September 2026, celebrating the life and legacy of rock and roll legend Eddie Cochran, whose memory is still commemorated locally at the memorial on Lowden Hill in Chippenham.

We look forward to sharing this incredible vehicle with visitors for many years to come.

A ROYAL ARRIVAL TODAY! 👑🚗

We are delighted to announce the arrival of a very special new addition to the museum, generously donated by Tony Amis.

This afternoon (29th September), Tony and his wife personally delivered their 1985 Ford Granada Estate 2.8 litre (C4 HRH) to the museum.

C4 HRH is one of just four German-built Ford Granadas supplied to the Royal Family in 1985. The vehicle was used exclusively by HRH Princess Margaret during her annual 12-week stays on the Balmoral Estate and was frequently driven by Tony himself in his role as the Princess's chauffeur.

When the Royal Family later adopted Range Rovers as their preferred vehicles, largely due to their practical upper and lower tailgate design, Tony was able to acquire C4 HRH and preserve its remarkable history.

The car, together with an impressive collection of associated memorabilia, is now on permanent display at the museum and can be viewed by all visitors.
