Callington Rotary has launched Callington Cares, a new coat collection to bring warmth and comfort to homeless and vulnerable people across our area. Throughout October and November, they're collecting clean, good-quality adult and children's coats. Their simple rule is "would you wear it?" If the answer's yes, they'd love to receive it. Collection points are being announced shortly through Callington Rotary's social media pages. Have a clear-out, donate a coat, share the warmth.

We had a great time at Honey Fair!

It was fantastic to be out engaging with the community face to face and networking with other organisations about our current campaigns such as Callington Cares - Coat Collection and spreading the news about the Callington Christmas Market in December!

Well done Callington Lions for another great day in the town!

From Callington to Nepal: Rotary Support Where It’s Needed Most

At last night’s Callington Rotary business meeting, members agreed that the proceeds from our recent Safari Supper, together with an additional top-up from the club, will be donated to ShelterBox to support their work in Nepal.

A total of £590 was agreed, which will directly help ShelterBox provide vital support to communities affected by flooding and displacement.

ShelterBox provides emergency shelter and essential aid to families affected by disaster and conflict, and is currently responding in Nepal, where communities have been hit by severe flooding and displacement.

We’re proud that money raised here in Callington can help support people facing incredibly difficult circumstances thousands of miles away.

But we’re not finished yet.

We’re already working on more fundraising, while also preparing for our Callington Cares coat collection and continuing plans for the Callington Christmas Market.

There is plenty happening, and we’re always keen to hear from people who would like to help.

Want to volunteer, get involved with a project, or find out more about Rotary? Contact Roy on 07484 613198 or simply send us a message.

Local action. Global impact.

If you would like to donate to ShelterBox, you can do so via their website:

Over the weekend, members of Callington Rotary enjoyed a fantastic French-themed Safari Supper - with a three-course meal served across three different venues, each generously hosted by members of the club.

From course to course, members were treated to fantastic French-inspired food, great company and plenty of fellowship, making for a really enjoyable evening.

Most importantly, the event was also raising money for The Rotary Foundation, helping support projects locally and around the world in areas such as health, education, clean water, peacebuilding and the ongoing fight to eradicate polio.

A huge thank you to everyone who hosted, cooked, organised and took part in such a brilliant evening.
