We’re starting the journey towards creating a Fèis in Callander – and we’d love YOU to be part of it!

Làmhan is inviting Callander residents, families, musicians, singers, Gaelic learners, and anyone with an interest in local culture to a community meeting to discuss setting up a Fèis in Callander.

📍 Location: Làmhan, 2a Cross Street (on the corner of Main Street)
📅 Date: Friday 5th December
⏰ Time: 7.00pm

If you’re not familiar with a Fèis, it’s a community-led festival of Gaelic language, music, arts, and culture, supported nationally by Fèisean nan Gàidheal. You can read more about the Fèisean movement here:
https://www.feisean.org/en/

A Fèis typically includes:
• Gaelic language learning for all ages
• Gaelic singing – including the possibility of a local choir
• Traditional music such as fiddle, whistle, pipes, drumming and more
• Arts, crafts, dance, drama, storytelling and heritage activities
• Community workshops, events, and intergenerational learning

We’re looking for:
• Voluntary committee members to help guide and shape the Fèis
• Gaelic speakers of all levels – fluent, learners, and everyone in between
• Musicians, singers, artists, parents, young people, and community supporters
• Anyone who cares about keeping Gaelic culture alive and thriving in Callander

Come along, find out more, share ideas, and help us build something truly special for our community.

All welcome – please share :-)
