What a night to remember and such a privilege to sing in the opera, *Gresford: Up From Underground* on Thursday 26th February at Blackwood Miners' Institute teaming up with NEW Sinfonia for such a powerful performance.
A brilliant production with so many talented young musicians and singers, telling a story full of tragedy, grief, resilience and resurgence. The music and drama truly brought the history and emotion of the Gresford story to life.
It was a great opportunity for the Chorus, testing our ability to learn our scores in a short time (since mid January!). We rose to the challenge and couldn’t be prouder of what we achieved together.
Big thanks to our Musical Director, Anna Beresford, our wonderful accompanist Ceri Gifford-Berry, and vocal support from Rhys Archer. Your guidance and encouragement made it all possible.
