☀️🎶 What a Summer Term It's Been! 🎶☀️

As we come to the end of another fantastic choir term, we'd like to take a moment to reflect on what has been a truly memorable few months.

We've had the privilege of singing on the Annwylfan Ward at Ystrad Fawr Hospital, where we saw first-hand the power of music to bring comfort and smiles. We also enjoyed performing at the Pontypridd Festival and were proud to be part of the celebrations at Caerphilly Pride, sharing our music with our local community.

The highlight of our summer was undoubtedly our concert, 🎶Sun, Sea and Saucepans🎶. Despite the exceptionally hot weather, we were delighted that we went ahead. It was a wonderful evening of music, friendship and community spirit, and we're so grateful to everyone who came along to support us.

A huge thank you to our Musical Director, Anna Beresford, whose enthusiasm and dedication inspire us every week, and to our wonderful accompanist Ceri Gifford-Berry, for her outstanding musicianship and support.

We'd also like to thank our fantastic guest soloists, Rhys Archer, Tara Camm and Lynn Turner, whose performances helped make the evening so special.

Thank you to Chris Evans MP for taking the time to attend our concert and for supporting local community groups such as ours.

We're incredibly grateful to the Vanguard Centre for providing such a welcoming home for our weekly rehearsals and concerts.

Finally, the biggest thank you goes to every member of Caerphilly Community Chorus. Whether you sing, sell raffle tickets, welcome our audience, help set up the hall, move chairs, make posters, organise music or quietly lend a hand behind the scenes, every contribution matters. Our choir is built on teamwork, friendship and a shared love of music, and none of what we've achieved this term would have been possible without you.😊

We hope everyone has a wonderful, well-earned summer break. We look forward to seeing familiar faces—and hopefully some new ones—when we return next term 11th September 7pm.

☀️ **Important Update – Sun, Sea and Saucepans** ☀️

With the very warm weather forecast for **Friday 10th July**, we've made a few changes to help everyone stay comfortable during the concert.

💧 **A complimentary bottle of water will be available for every audience member on arrival.**

To help keep the evening as cool as possible, **there will be no refreshments served after the concert.**

🎟️ **Good news!** We've reduced the ticket price to **just £5** (Under 16s still go free!), making it even easier to come along and enjoy an evening of live music.

We look forward to welcoming you for an enjoyable evening of music. Please remember to stay hydrated and dress comfortably in the warm weather.

📣 CHOIR MEMBERS – PLEASE READ 📣
Formal black is not required for the concert. Please wear something smart, cool and comfortable that you'll be happy performing in. The most important thing is that everyone stays comfortable while we sing.
💧 Please remember to bring your own water bottle and stay hydrated.

🌈 **What a fantastic day at Caerphilly Pride!** 🌈

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to support us as we performed at the Bandstand today. It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces, sing with such an enthusiastic audience, and be part of a celebration of love, diversity and community.

We're incredibly proud to have represented Caerphilly Community Chorus at such a welcoming and inclusive event. Thank you to the organisers, volunteers, and everyone who made the day so special.

Pride Caerffili is back 🏳️‍🌈

Join us on Saturday 4th July for a joyful day of inclusivity, celebration, and community spirit.

Celebrations include live music, entertainment, and an iconic Pride Parade. The main event programme runs from 12pm to 7pm.

We’ll be getting creative at Castle Court to mark the occasion! Our talented face painter will be designing Fantastic Faces for Pride using the shades of the rainbow to fashion flags, hearts, slogans, and more. You’ll find her near the Band Stand between 11am and 3pm.

Plus, browse a variety of market stalls and soak up the fantastic atmosphere throughout the day.

We can't wait to celebrate with you. See you there! 🌈✨

🎶 Music has the power to bring people together and brighten someone's day.😊

In April members of Caerphilly Community Chorus had the privilege of singing for patients and staff on the Annwylfan ward at Ysbyty Ystrad Fawr Hospital. It was a truly special experience, and we're grateful to have had the opportunity to share our love of music with the community.
We're delighted to be returning to the Annwylfan Ward again on 1st July, and we look forward to sharing more music and smiles with everyone there. ❤️

We'd also like to extend our sincere thanks to Caerphilly County Borough Council for awarding the chorus a financial grant, which has enabled us to give something back to our local community through initiatives like these.

What a fantastic day for Caerphilly Community Chorus! 🎶☀️

We had an amazing time performing at the bandstand during the Caerphilly Food and Drink Festival yesterday,
soaking up the glorious sunshine and sharing our music with such a wonderful crowd. The atmosphere was buzzing, the food smelled incredible, and the support from everyone who stopped to listen meant so much to us.

A huge thank you to all our members, our MD Anna Beresford accompanist Ceri Gifford-Berryand everyone who came along to cheer us on — you made it truly special!
