Yesterday our Caerphilly Runners took part in the annual Barry Island 10K. Who knew Barry Island had Hills 🫢 but we Caerphilly Runners love em!

Another amazing achievement from one of our members. Last weekend Bethan Thornton completed the 10yfan 24hour challenge of climbing to the summit of Pen Y Fan ten times.
Beth smashed this challenge in 22hours!
Bethan said "It was the most challenging thing I’ve ever done, even harder because it was during the night and and we had freezing fog and heavy winds. Only on our final climb did the sun come out. It was a really well organised event with about 300 people taking part. And the event organisers were really supportive 😁"
Congratulations Bethan! According to the 10yfan site, you didn't an equivalent to Mount Everest in elavation! 😯💙
