Caerphilly Runners Welsh Athletics affiliated running club in Caerphilly. A running club for all abilities. Caerphilly Runners is Caerphilly’s only affiliated running club.

Our aim is to encourage runners to be the best they can, to run for fun but more importantly to run for enjoyment, regardless of ability. Our club aims to give every member the opportunity to be part of a traditional running community, to share experiences amongst similar minded runners.

Tonight we held our first Joint session with our local Triathlon club Caerphilly Tri-ers.
A great 5k/5mile route enjoyed by both clubs with a social drink in the Cwrt Rawlin Pub after.

Last weekend our Caerphilly Runners took on the 21 mile Man v Horse challenge hosted by Green Events.
Our members either did the entire course or as part of a relay of 3. Quite a thrill to run alongside horses in full gallop!!!

Well followers, what a weekend we had competing with national, international and 2 Olympic athletes at the Welsh Castles Relay organised by Les Croupiers Running Club!
We achieved a new club record completing the 209 mile course in 25 hours 24 minutes!! We also finished a place higher than last year!
Congratulations to our team of 20 runners! Some amazing races and several PB's achieved 💙🙌.
Thank you to all our volunteer Marshalls, support crew (especially our dogs and little ones!!) and our superb Sara Williams for literally organising all of us (and running a leg as well)!!
Lastly Congratulations to worthy winners Salford Harriers 🏆.

This weekend we are taking part in the 2 day 209 mile Welsh Castles Relay. Over 60 teams from all over the UK will compete over 20 stages from Caernarfon Castle in North Wales down to the final stage - Caerphilly Castle to Cardiff Castle.
We are so proud to be selected for this race for our 2nd time! Good luck to all our runners! 😊💙

1 day. 100 miles completed by our fab 14 runners in 13 hours 40 mins (13:40:42)!!
Our team came in 19th out of 30 very competitive teams.
