Directions

DWR Monday Afternoon Club Residents will be at the heart of this project and everyone will be encouraged to get involved.

A community lunch club that exists because of a project that was set up to help the community address the road safety issues within Draethen Waterloo and Rudry. DWR Community Council have been awarded funding for three years through the Big Lottery Community Voice Fund to work with local members to establish links with a number of contacts in Caerphilly County Borough Council, specifically the planning department who deal with environmental design, urban highways and traffic calming measures in order to improve services in the area. A full--time project officer, Sian Tucker, will co-ordinate the project and work with the community from the three villages to establish aims and objectives and to set outcomes to ensure the success of the project at the end of the three years. Watch this space over the next few weeks for details of how you can get involved.
