This PTSD Awareness Day (27 June 2026), help us increase understanding about this serious mental health condition and raise awareness about the help available.

PTSD can profoundly affect how someone thinks, feels, and reacts. It can look very different from person to person, with symptoms including drinking too much, not sleeping, pushing people away, or feeling exhausted from scanning for danger all the time.

It’s not always easy to know that you have PTSD – very often veterans tell us they just knew ‘something’ wasn’t right. PTSD can overwhelm someone’s life but with our help, veterans can overcome its debilitating effects. PTSD does not need to be lifelong, it is treatable and veterans can recover with our specialist treatment.

Since June 2021 we have run Caerphilly Veterans Support Hub, and it’s been a pleasure to welcome so many veterans and their families through our doors.

The time has come for us to step down and hand over the reins, and we know the Hub will continue to be run with love and care.

We are so grateful to all the members and people that have supported us, and a special thanks to all the funders that have generously awarded grants so we could run the Hub for free for our members.

We are super thankful to all the individuals and support organisations that have volunteered their time over the years, we couldn’t have achieved what we did without you - you have been lifelines for so many ♥️

We wish CVSH and its members all the very best and we look forward to seeing you continue to thrive.
