Representatives from Caerphilly Veterans Support Hub were proud to attend a flag-raising ceremony at Caerphilly County Borough Council offices alongside local veterans, Craig Middle of the RFCA (Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association), Carol Andrews, Deputy Leader of the Council and Teresa Heron the Armed Forces Champion.

The event highlighted the strong partnership between Caerphilly Veterans Support Hub, Caerphilly County Borough Council and the wider Armed Forces community, demonstrating our shared commitment to supporting serving personnel, veterans, and their families through the principles of the Armed Forces Covenant.

A good turnout, with a number of our members at various armed forces day events I counted 47 attendees. We raised £115 in the raffle and £80 in the scratch cards which will go towards supporting our hub, thanks to Dai and Steph and all who bought tickets.

Thank you so much to 277 Blackwood Squadron - Air Training Corps for their fantastic musical performance today. A lovely mix of music played with military precision and outstanding professionalism. Thank you!
