🎉 A MILESTONE FOR CAERPHILLY SUPPORT HUB (CVSH)! 🎉

We are delighted to welcome Tony Giannotti as our 100th new member! 🇬🇧

Tony proudly served in the Royal Engineers completing 19 years of military service.

Since leaving the Armed Forces, Tony has continued to play an active role in his community and is currently Chairman of Treorchy Male Voice Choir, one of Wales's best-known male voice choirs. 🎶

Reaching 100 new members is a fantastic milestone for CVSH and reflects the growing strength of our veterans' community.

A very warm welcome to Tony! We look forward to his involvement in the Hub and to continuing to build a place where veterans can enjoy friendship, comradeship and mutual support.

⚓ Once served, always part of the family!

🌺 HEROES OF MACHEN – REMEMBERING OUR LOCAL HEROES 🌺

CVSH is pleased to support and share this special fundraising event being presented by the Royal British Legion Machen Branch.

A dedicated member of the Royal British Legion has spent a considerable amount of time visiting cemeteries and churchyards throughout Machen, Bedwas, Trethomas and Caerphilly, carefully recording the names of local men and women from all three Armed Forces who gave their lives in service to our country.

What followed was months of detailed research into their lives, their military service, their acts of courage and sacrifice, and the families and descendants they left behind.

Heroes of Machen will bring their stories back to life, remembering the local people behind the names we so often see carved into memorials and gravestones. It is an opportunity to learn more about their service, their bravery and the ultimate sacrifice they made.

The evening will also feature music from the Bedwas, Trethomas & Machen Brass Band and the Cardiff Military Wives Choir.

🌺 Friday 6th November
🚪 Doors open at 7pm
📍 United Services Club, Forge Road, Machen, CF83 8PH
🎟️ Tickets: £10 – contact details are on the poster and will be on sale tomorrow at the hub.

If you’d like to discover more about the local heroes from our communities and the remarkable stories behind their names, please come along, show your support and help make this fundraising evening a success.

We will remember them. 🌺

Please share and help spread the word throughout our local communities.

A lovely turnout at CVSH today and fantastic support for our Macmillan Coffee Morning. ☕🍰

I counted 48 people, and there were still more coming through the door!

A huge thank you to everyone who supported the raffle and scratchcards and bought cakes. With the raffle organised by Steph and the lovely cakes baked by Michelle, we raised a very good sum for Macmillan Cancer Support and the Hub. 👏

A special thank you must also go to Michelle, Tammy and Ruth, who put in a tremendous amount of hard work and worked tirelessly behind the scenes to help make the morning such a success. Your efforts were very much appreciated. 💙

It was also lovely to see Teresa back with us and to welcome Emma for a visit.

Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make it such an enjoyable and worthwhile morning. I hope you all enjoyed yourselves.

Have a lovely weekend, everyone! ⚓💙
