As I think about my WI year ahead
I reflect on little things I'm grateful for...
My Poinsettia perking up a little ( it was looking a little droopy!) ....and finding a marzipan flavour Ritta Sport bar to enjoy with my Cuppa (in my federation Cup)!!!!
I thought the last of all of the Christmas goodies were gone!
I hope everyone is looking forward their 2024 WI Meetings.

Thank you to everyone who came and supported our ‘Not in my Name’ - Vigil - Saturday, 25th, November, 2023

This was a very successful event with speakers : The Police Commissioner, the Deputy Chief Constable of North Wales Police, the Deputy Chief Fire Officer for North Wales, the Presidents of both NFU Cymru and the FUW, Liz Saville Roberts MP.
We were so privileged to also have Rhianon Bragg with us, who shared her personal story and experience.
We urge you all to raise awareness in your communities, that we must never commit, condone or remain silent about violence against women.

A sincere thank you to all the dedicated individuals tirelessly working to end violence against women. Your passion, commitment, and unwavering efforts contribute to creating a safer and more compassionate world for women everywhere. Your work is not only impactful but also instrumental in fostering positive change.

Thank you to all the members, supporters, WIs and federations who have taken part in the 16 days this year. Please don’t forget to send in your photos and stories to [email protected]

Together, we stand against violence, and with your dedication, we move closer to a future free from fear and harm.

Fashion Show - Monday 22nd, April, 2024 at 7.30p.m

To be held at the Masonic Hall, in Bangor.
Clothes modelled will be from the North Wales Cancer Research Group, in Llanfairfechan and Aber.
Tickets – including a glass of w**e – will be £8.
Booking Form will be sent out later. If you would like to take part by modelling, helping behind the scenes etc., please let us know!

NFWI Wales Conference - 4th, April, 2024 in Brecon

Next year will see a different format to the Conference, the morning session will be the same with reports etc. - and one Guest speaker; but in the afternoon there will be a choice of optional activities – you may book for just the morning session if you wish, either in person or online, or of course you may book for the whole day.
The Booking Form will be enclosed with your WI's December newsletter - which gives full details of the options available, and details of the Afternoon activities together with the prices

CHRISTMAS CAROL CONCERT 2ND DECEMBER 2PM

Come along to St Paul’s Church, Craig Y D]on, Llandudno for a wonderful Carol Concert. There is only a small admission donation, which will be shared amongst charities in the area.

We will not only have our local WIs participating; but the choirs from St Paul’s accompanied by their organist!

The concert will start at 2pm, followed by refreshments.

Why not top the day off by joining the Llandudno Christmas Parade afterwards at 4pm. What a wonderful way to welcome in the Christmas season!

This event has been organised by The Conwy Valley WI Group; consisting of WIs from Dolwyddelan, Dwygyfylchi, Llanbedr/Talybont, Llanfairfechan and Llandudno

We will be at the Llŷn and Eifionydd National Eisteddfod in Boduan, Gwynedd from 5 to 12 August. Hosted by Gwynedd-Caernarfon Federation of Women's Institutes, our stand will be located on the Maes (stand numbers 328-329).

The stand will be based on the theme ‘freedom’ and will show how the WI has, and continues to be, instrumental in providing freedom for women to choose, to do and to achieve. Some of the current and past campaigns linked to ‘freedom’ will be highlighted such as improving diagnosis for autistic and ADHD women and girls, ending violence against women, equal pay and local bus services. There will be an opportunity for visitors to the stand to share what ‘freedom’ means to them with a ‘freedom’ tree on display for people to add their thoughts.

Refreshments will be available.
