🐴💚 COULD YOU OFFER A HOME TO A COMPANION HORSE?

Not every horse needs a saddle.

Some just need a safe field, a few good friends, a warm stable when they want one and someone who thinks they’re pretty special. 💚

We currently have horses and ponies looking for experienced companion homes.

They’re not looking for ridden homes. They’re looking for people who are happy to give them a quiet, settled life and make them part of the family.

We’re looking for homes with:

🌿 Safe, secure grazing and suitable turnout
🐴 The right equine company
🏡 Good shelter and facilities
🌾 Appropriate feed and constant access to water
🩺 Proper veterinary, dental and farrier care
❤️ Time, patience and plenty of fuss
🔒 A genuine long term commitment

We don’t just want a home. We want the right home.

Every horse has their own personality, needs and quirks, so we take matching very seriously. There’s no rush to get them out of the door. We want to know they’re going somewhere they’ll be loved and properly cared for for the rest of their lives.

If you think you could offer a home to one of our companion horses, please message us with a little bit about your experience, your current horses or ponies, your facilities and the home you could offer.

🐴💚 EQUINE VOLUNTEERS WANTED – AFTERNOON/EVENING COVER 💚🐴

As we head into winter, we have some gaps in our afternoon and evening volunteer rota that we’d really like to fill.

We’re looking for people with genuine, hands-on equine experience who are confident around large horses and can commit to regular shifts.

We need people who are:

🐴 Confident handling large horses
💪 Practical and happy to get stuck into whatever jobs need doing
🌧️ Prepared to work outside in the glorious British winter weather!
🧤 Comfortable with mucking out, hay, feed, poo picking, cleaning and all the other less glamorous jobs
⏰ Reliable and able to commit to the shifts they agree to
❤️ Calm, sensible and genuinely passionate about rescue

This is not just about coming to see the horses — our volunteers are there to help keep the yard running, and during winter the afternoon/evening jobs still need doing whatever the weather throws at us!

Previous hands-on equine experience is essential.

🐱📦 THE BOXES HAVE BEEN CLAIMED…

We just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who has donated cat food, horse feed, hay and bedding to us over the last week. 💚

It’s honestly been amazing to see everyone pull together and help us when we really needed it. Every bag, box, pouch and bale makes such a difference, and we are incredibly grateful. 🥹💚

The cats, obviously, have decided that their share of the donations should include every single Amazon box that arrives.

Never mind the actual toys, treats and catnip that our volunteers constantly spoil them with… apparently an empty cardboard box is still the ultimate luxury. 😂

They have absolutely no idea how lucky they are but we do. And we are so lucky to have such an amazing community behind them. 🥰

Thank you for helping keep the Little Nest gang fed, happy and very, VERY well supplied with cardboard. 😂💚

Five beautiful female alpacas are looking for a loving new home together. 🦙💚

These gentle girls have formed a close bond and would love to remain with familiar companions. They must be rehomed either as a group of three or more, or alongside an existing herd, as companionship with other alpacas is essential for their happiness and wellbeing.

We’re looking for caring adopters who can provide plenty of space, appropriate care and a safe, peaceful environment where these lovely girls can settle in, feel secure and thrive. You don’t need to be experienced, as long as you’re willing to learn and can offer them the loving, lifelong home they deserve.

Crumpet is looking for a new home with some ladies of his own. 🦆💚

Crumpet is a boy, and unfortunately we’ve realised that having two boys and just one girl isn’t going to work long-term.

So we’re looking for a home where Crumpet can have some female duck company and live his best life with a proper little flock of his own. 🥰

He’s a lovely lad and we really want to find him the right home with plenty of female company.
