๐จ ADDLESTONE KITTENS โ WE ARE NOT LETTING THIS GO! ๐จ
Firstly, a MASSIVE thank you to the wonderful members of the public who have been coming forward with information regarding the tiny kittens so cruelly dumped in a plastic bag in Addlestone.
Your support, concern and willingness to speak up have been incredible, and we are so grateful.
๐ WE ALSO WANT TO SAY AN ENORMOUS THANK YOU TO SURREY POLICE.
We can confirm that Surrey Police are taking this case INCREDIBLY seriously and are actively supporting Byfleet Cat Rescue as we work to establish exactly what happened to these innocent little kittens.
We have been hugely encouraged by the seriousness with which they are treating this matter, their willingness to work with us and the support they are providing.
We want to publicly acknowledge and thank Surrey Police for the work they are doing, for listening to our concerns and for recognising just how serious this incident is.
Animal cruelty must never be dismissed or overlooked, and knowing that Surrey Police are giving this case the attention it deserves means an enormous amount to our team.
โค๏ธ BUT WE STILL NEED YOUR HELP.
We want to know WHO DID THIS.
We want to know WHERE THEIR MUM IS.
And we want to know whether there are other cats or kittens potentially at risk.
We have received concerning information from members of the public suggesting that kittens may be being bred and sold in the local area. This information is being taken seriously, and we want the authorities to establish the facts.
There are laws in place to protect animals, including the Animal Welfare Act 2006, licensing requirements for certain commercial breeding and selling activities, and Lucy's Law, which prohibits commercial third-party sales of puppies and kittens.
๐ JUST THINK ABOUT WHAT THESE BABIES WENT THROUGH.
Removed from their mum far too young.
Placed inside a plastic bag.
Abandoned outside in the freezing cold.
Two tiny lives were lost. Two survived.
These were innocent, defenceless babies who should have been warm, safe and snuggled up beside their mother.
Instead, they were left to suffer.
At Byfleet Cat Rescue, we see some truly heartbreaking situations. We try very hard not to judge people's circumstances because we know that life can be difficult, and sometimes people genuinely need help.
But this is another level entirely.
There is absolutely no justification for treating living, breathing animals this way.
๐จ PLEASE, WE ARE ASKING THE PUBLIC TO HELP BOTH US AND SURREY POLICE.
If you know of anyone breeding kittens in the Addlestone area, have information about where these babies came from, witnessed anything suspicious, or know where their mum might be, please report it.

Even the smallest piece of information could be vital.
Please do not name or accuse individuals publicly. Pass any information directly to Surrey Police so that it can be investigated properly.
We are determined to find out what happened, locate their mother and help prevent another tragedy like this.
And once again, our heartfelt thanks to Surrey Police for taking this so seriously, for supporting our rescue and for the work they are putting into this case.
We know how stretched emergency services can be, and we genuinely appreciate the time, care and attention being given to these little lives.
We will not forget these kittens. They deserved better. Every single one of them. ๐๐พ
Please keep sharing. Please keep speaking up.
Together with Surrey Police and our community, we hope to get the answers these babies deserve.
โค๏ธ Thank you, from everyone at Byfleet Cat Rescue.
