A few photos from Friday's circular hike from Poole's Cavers south towards Anthony Hill. It was about 8.5 km and although it was a bit windy in exposed places, it remained dry and reasonably warm.

Poacher Day 7 - Friday: The last day of Poacher - home tomorrow! It was the last chance to do the activities, followed by the closing ceremony, for which we had to get dressed up for. The closing ceremony was rounded off by a spectacular firework display - I'll post some videos separately. Scouts will be home tomorrow and we are all looking forward to a good shower and a night in a proper bed!

Poacher - day 6 - Thursday: Not many photos today I'm affraid. It was a shopping afternoon and in the morning a group of our Scouts went off-site in the morning to the aqua park. The lunchtime entertainment was a display of jousting featuring the Sheriff of Nottingham and Robin Hood. Many of our Scouts seemed to spend the day doing clay pidgeon shooting and collecting BASC caps.

Poacher, day 5, Wednesday: It was an early start for some, as one of our group was on an off site trip for a skydiving experience (starting out at 6:30). For us it was a shopping morning, so I did not catch up with our Scouts until after lunch (hot dogs), but did see the Chief Scout at the lunch time entertainment. The wind picked up over lunch, and we had to take our gateway down (with a lot of help from the wind). It was a shame that we lost our gateway, because today was "dressing up in your camp theme" day, but we did have a street part, joined by a group from Rutland.

Poacher, day 4 - Tuesday: another very hot Lincolnshire day, but I managed to catch up with some of our Scouts as well as some characters from Robot Wars. The luchtime entertainment was a stunt display team.

Poacher Day 3 - Monday: Another hot day at Poacher. Our Young Leader managed to have a go driving - but he was the only one I managed to catch actually doing an activity. For the Leaders, today was our first shopping day, so a trip off site to the local Tescos and Aldi. Back at camp our evening meal was burgers and hot dogs - which seemed to go down well!

Poacher Day 2 (Sunday). The Scouts went off to explore the Poacher site and do their first activities, leaving the leaders with time to put up our Viking-themed gateway. At lunchtime we were entertained by stunt motorcycle team. In the afternoon I managed a walk around site, but could not get any photos of our Scouts, but I do know that a group of them spent a long time on the water activities - which seemed like a good place to be in the hot and sunny weather.
