Our Cubs visited Combs reservoir for some kayaking with our High Peak Scouting Paddle Sports team. The Cubs had a great time, on an evening that was hot and almost perfect for kayaking.

We've just finished the 2026 Wallaboree. Our Group had 53 Squirrels, Beavers, Cubs and Scouts at Gradbach Scout Camp on Saturday. In all there were over 600 young people from across the High Peak Scouting District on site. Loads of activities to try out and the Gradbach Scout Camp had booked really good weather for us, so that all our tents went away dry on Sunday afternoon.

Huge Congratulations to our Young Leaders Min and Ollie on the completion of their young leader trainging.
Nic, their Explorer Scout Lead Volunteer for Young Leaders from 'sExplorersBuxton joined us at Gradbach Scout Camp last Thursday to award them with their certificate and badges.

We are all incredibly grateful for their contribution to Beavers and Cubs every week and extremely proud!
We wish them both a happy summer break.

Well Done Min and Ollie 🥳

3rd Buxton - Harpur Hill Scout Group took part in Buxton Carnival, with their first ever float.
Scouts, Cubs, Beavers and Squirrels came together to celebrate the festivities and this would not have been possible without the help, support and donations from so many people!

We would like to thank; Will Gratton from TW &EJ Gratton Road Haulage for providing us with a trailer and unit.
Martin our driver for the day who went above and beyond helping us dismantle the float.
Jake Warburton from Ivy Scaffolding who donated the Scaffolding.
Buxton Rugby Club for the wonderful work they do with young people in our community and permitting the dressing of our float whilst they did their own.
All our parents and volunteers for their donations and time spent building, supervising and assembling, your patience and support is gratefully recieved.
To our wonderful volunteer leaders and young leaders and finaly our young people! We have a succesful group at 3rd Buxton - Harpur Hill and this is thanks to our fantastic young people who are a credit to our group, their families and each other.

We have had a fantastic year this year and this was a fabulous experience for us all!
