Nuttall Park

Nuttall Park "The Friends" are a small group of local people who volunteer their time to maintain & improve the facilities & green spaces of Nuttall Park.

We have a Gardening Group & we open a Tea Room mainly on Saturdays and Sundays when we have volunteers to run it. The Friends of Nuttall Park are a group of volunteers who help to keep the park tidy and through raising funds improve the park by adding playground equipment and plants. We encourage activities that are in harmony with the park and encourage a greater interest in the park for people of all ages. We are always looking for new volunteers

It's balsam bashing time in Nuttall Park. If you are unsure what it looks like come to the Big Balsam Bash this Saturday at 10:30. It can also be picked when you are in the park

Bury’s Big Balsam Bash is coming to Nutall Park, Ramsbottom!

Following last year’s hugely successful ‘Bashes’, Bury’s Big Balsam Bash returns to the borough throughout Spring & Summer 2026!

Himalayan Balsam is a non-native invasive plant species that grows wild and causes heavy damage to our riverbanks.

Together with volunteer groups, friends of parks groups and members of the public we are teaming up to control the spread, and limit the damage caused by this plant.

Join us and help make a difference:
