We would like to invite you to join us in remembering your loved one through our Sunflower Appeal, kindly sponsored by Secure Store Self Storage.
All of the flowers dedicated will be on display around the pond within the grounds of Bury Hospice from Friday, July 31st until Friday, August 21st, where you will be able to view them. You will also receive the flower as a colourful keepsake, which you will be able to collect after the display has ended.
Sunflowers are available to dedicate for a minimum donation of £25 for one or £40 for two online at: https://sunflowerappeal2026.dedicationpage.org/ or by calling the fundraising office on 0161 797 1748. Everyone who dedicates a Sunflower will also receive a personalised dedication card 🌻

Join our amazing events fundraiser, Laura Marinelli on the Great Wall of China Trek this November.

The trek is taking place between November 8th and 16th and will take you to a remote section of the Great Wall of China, from Gubeikou to Jinshanling and Simatai.

Not only will you trek on the wall itself, meticulously built and restored over thousands of years, but you will also have the opportunity to trek through wild and remote landscapes with distant views of green rolling hills, mountain peaks and with one of the great wonders of the world as the backdrop.

Staying in guesthouses throughout the trek allows you to gain an understanding of authentic Chinese culture as you discover more about the lifestyle of the local people and also taste some incredible local cuisine.

The 'Fab Four' from Tesco Mobile joined us on Wednesday for the first of five corporate volunteering days.
Following three successful days in 2025, the team have kindly arranged to come back again for five consecutive weeks.
Four of the weeks will be spent in the Hospice gardens and the 5th week will be spent at our donation centre in Radcliffe, so they can help with sorting through donations.

We welcomed 22 members of staff from PM&M into Bury Hospice on Wednesday.
They' spent the morning doing team activities in our meeting room followed by a delicious lunch in our Garden View Cafe.
After lunch, the team was split into 4 groups for an afternoon of corporate volunteering, which included helping sort items at our storage units, sorting t-shirts, labelling collection boxes and working in our gardens.

A huge thank you to community champion, Wendy Howarth and the amazing team at Tesco Superstore for their generous donation of Ronseal and garden paint to help maintain our outdoor spaces so they look their best for our patients and their families.
They also donated a variety of items for us to use as raffle prizes at our upcoming events and for us to sell in our Hospice shop, which will help us raise vital funds for Bury Hospice.
