There are now 9 working days left to pay your subs. Unfortunately we are still waiting for the 9/1 from Central Office. Once received those who have paid and have submitted their first million and adips will get their top up insurance first.

Again, we cannot take card payment over the phone, you will be sent a link by text whilst on the phone to the secretary, NOTE the link sent to you via TEYA expires 24 hours after issue. There are quite a few members who have rung, received their link and not actioned it. You need to contact the office again to request the link once more as your subs have not been paid.

On the final day Monday 29th June please action your TEYA link immediately as by the 30th June you will be advertised as a non member.

You still have the option to attend the office to pay by card in person and of course BACs transfer into the section account.

Thanks in advance

Dear All,

We’re exploring a primary insurance scheme at central office, and we require some information from members. It would be really helpful if you could share this SurveyMonkey link with your members http://bit.ly/4e6xCaA on Facebook or however you see fit. I’ve also attached a PDF version for any members who would prefer a printed-out version.

The proposed scheme would be a voluntary benefit and not compulsory, but it is intended to help address a number of issues that members have recently experienced.

Kiosk (etc) Electrical Safety Certificates- requirement that they should be issued only by the qualified electrician undertaking an electrical test:

Members are reminded that; as part of the Home Authority annual certification of Kiosks and other equipment that requires an electrical certificate; should only engage the services of a qualified electrician; with qualifications that include the 18th Edition of the IET Wiring Regulations; the industry-recognised benchmark for electrical safety (BS 7671) effectively mandatory for employment and professional certification.

Any documents procured, to look like genuine certificates, which have not been produced by a qualified electrician, so qualified and sent out directly by that professional; shall be null and void.

In the circumstances of an incident and / or a claim, all Public Liability Insurance that depends on such erroneous certification shall be null and void; exposing affected members to financial loss and other possible legal consequences; in addition to complaints being laid according to Guild Rule.
