We’ve made some important adjustments to our junior Saturday sessions at Bury Defence Academy 👊

✅ Updated session times

🔥 UPDATED WEEKLY SCHEDULE – BURY DEFENCE ACADEMY 🔥

We’ve made some exciting updates to our timetable, including new junior classes and a time change to improve our Saturday sessions 👇

👊 What’s New:
✅ Junior Boxing (Ages 4–7) – Saturdays at 11:00am (45 mins)
✅ Junior Boxing (Ages 8–10) – Saturdays at 12:00pm (45 mins)

⏰ Time Change:
🔄 Junior Boxing (Ages 11–16) on Saturdays now runs at 1:00pm – 2:00pm (previously 12pm)

💥 Full Schedule Includes:
🥊 Boxing (Juniors & Adults)
🥋 BJJ / No Gi
🤼 Wrestling
👊 MMA
🏃 Circuit Training
💃 Female Boxercise

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮 𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗮𝘁 𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗞𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗗𝗼𝘄𝗻 𝗚𝗹𝗼𝘃𝗲𝘀 𝗨𝗽 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿𝗰𝗹𝘂𝗯 👊

On Sunday 12/04/25, we hosted an incredible event with 57 bouts and 114 boxers stepping into the ring — from body-only contests to full contact fights. The atmosphere was unreal, with over 300 spectators coming out to support 🙌

We also had some amazing guest speakers sharing powerful messages, making it more than just a boxing event — this is what our community is about.

We’re proud to announce that £1,500 (50% of ticket sales) has been donated in honour of our ex service user, Mohammed Isa Afzal ❤️

A huge thank you to Coach Michelle for the matchmaking, and to all the organisers, volunteers, and staff who helped make the day run smoothly.

This is just the beginning… more events coming soon. We hope to see you at the next one 👊

Knives Down Gloves Up InterClub Boxing Event

Date: Sunday 12th April
Venue: Castle Leisure Centre, Bury
Time: 11am - 5pm

Bury Defence Academy is proud to host this Boxing event to bring young people together through sport, promote unity, while helping to deter gang activity and knife crime within our community.

Junior Boxers from 5 local clubs are participating and special guest speakers will be sharing powerful and inspiring messages.
