Today marks 75 Years since the First Passenger Trains were run by volunteers on the World's First Preserved Railway. All at the East Lancashire Railway Preservation Society wish the Talyllyn Railway all the best for their 75th Anniversary Celebrations! These pioneers set the model and proved it could be done, without them who knows if there would be the East Lancashire Railway today...

Your next gala visitor! We’re thrilled to announce that Class 37 - 37610 will be appearing at the ELR’s Summer Diesel Gala! Appearing courtesy of our friends at , the ex DRS mainline certified loco will be appearing at all four days of the gala.
