BDAS - Bury & District Angling Society Angling club which is run by volunteers as a not for profit organisation.

Bury District Angling Society is a not-for-profit club currently consists of 9 different waters within its club for members to enjoy. These waters consist of Deardens Carp Fishery, Elton Reservoir, Big and Little Carcass, Field Lodge, Netting Lodge, Island Lodge and Cartwheel, as well as two sections of the Kirklees Brook.

Carbon Monoxide: The Silent Killer

Every year, anglers put themselves at risk without realising it. Carbon monoxide (CO) is invisible, odourless and can become deadly in enclosed spaces such as bivvies and tents.

If you're using heaters, stoves, BBQs or lanterns on the bank:
Always ensure good ventilation
Use appliances in open air
Carry a CO alarm Know the symptoms of CO poisoning

Plenty of fish coming out on Dearden’s, everyone that’s been going is reporting plenty of catches.

Multiple 20”s have been out this week so far and only a few weeks ago our biggest fish was caught at 31-10, pics to follow.

We are currently taking waiting list applications for next season, please follow the link to get on the list, it’s already growing.

Great weekend by one of our members - last weekend one of our members fished Dearden’s carp fishery.

A total of 9 fish were landed in a hectic early morning feeding spell. Big beds of bait kept them coming.
