Post spawning carnage on Dearden”s carp fishery - Two of our members have made the most of quiet banks during our 2 weeks exclusive for members who have helped at work parties.

29 fish landed over the weekend with multiple 20”s included in this.

A huge well done from all of us.

🎣 Spawning Closure Update

As the spawning closure comes to an end today, we’ve been out on the bank giving the casting pegs a fresh topping of bark 🌿.

For the next two weeks, Dearden’s will remain closed to all members except those who have attended a work party or carried out maintenance on the waters 🛠️. This helps ensure the venue gets the care it needs while recognising those who’ve put the time in.

More work parties will be running throughout the season before the next closure in the autumn/winter 🍂❄️. Dates will be emailed directly to members, so keep an eye on your inbox 📬.

Thanks to everyone who continues to support and improve the waters for all 🙌.

A busy little Saturday here 🌿✂️ — given Dearden’s a quick haircut to keep the jungle under control, fish are all spawned out and recovering nicely 🐟, getting plenty of feed to build their strength back up 🍽️, and the aerator timers are officially set for summer ☀️💨.

Small jobs, but they add up to a good day 👍🏻.

Now… time for football and a cold beer 🍺⚽

What a weekend on Dearden’s! 🎣🔥

Spawning has started, but not before Matthew managed to tempt out the king 👑 of the lake on Saturday night at a massive 32lb 2oz — a new lake record and his new PB.

Get in there! 💪🏻🐟

He’s now off causing mischief somewhere in the spawning closure and hopefully resting up.

Top angling, Matthew 👏🎉

BDAS IMPORTANT INFORMATION TO READ

Evening all,

This is a reminder that our club operates on a zero‑tolerance policy regarding rule breaches. Over the past month, we have seen several instances — from both new and existing members — where rules around bait, session lengths, guests, and access have not been followed.

Please remember that even if you do not see a member of the team onsite, we are fully aware of activity on the premises at all times. Going forward, any breach of club rules will be handled through our disciplinary process, which may result in membership suspension or termination, along with possible restrictions on future rejoining or sales.

The most up‑to‑date rules are available on the onsite noticeboard, our website, and Swimbooker, and they form part of the terms and conditions agreed to when joining.

If you have any questions or concerns, please contact the club directly via email or Facebook Messenger.

Thank you
