Big congratulations to Deputy Division Commissioner and Rainbow leader Elinor who was recently presented with her 20 years award by our wonderful president Lynne. Not sure how Elinor has achieved 20 years service when she’s only 21?!

20 years is an incredible achievement and the division couldn’t manage without you. Thank you for everything you do for the girls and the other volunteers and for keepjng me ticking over and organised. You are fabulous 🤩 🌟. Here’s to another 20 years? 🤞🏼

✨ Magic or Science? 🧪

2nd Walmersley Rainbows have been busy working on their camp badge but still found time to explore optical illusions too! By making their own thaumatropes 🌀

With a quick spin, fish landed in fish bowls, birds appeared in cages and princesses gained their crowns 👑

Who says leaders don’t earn badges and certificates too? 💙

A huge well done to some truly amazing volunteers:

✨ Natasha has achieved her Going Away With Licence and can now take Rainbows on overnights!
✨ Amy has been awarded her 5-year service award – an incredible milestone.
✨ Emily has received her Leadership Award and is now a fully fledged leader!
✨ Laura has also been presented with her Leadership Award – a fantastic achievement.

So much hard work, dedication, and time goes into being a leader, and it’s never easy balancing everything. We’re incredibly grateful to all four of these wonderful volunteers who give their time week after week.

I had the pleasure of presenting one of our leaders with her 20 years service badge yesterday. We are so lucky to have Laura in our Division and she goes above and beyond week in week out for the girls who attend her units. Thank you Laura 💛 here’s to another 20 years? 🤞🏼

Yesterday some of our adult members attended the 80th anniversary of the Queen's Guide Award hosted by our county Lancs South East. It was a lovely celebration topped off with an afternoon tea. It's the highest award in Guiding so when our younger members are 16-30 they can start the programme. We've got into the festive spirit at 2nd Bury St James Rainbows and decorated bottles and put in lights. All our grown ups were really impressed! 🎄

1st Walmersley Rainbows have been working on their Innovate Stage 1 badge. We carried out an investigation by exploring different materials to decide which ones would make the best slides. The dolls had a fabulous time zipping down the tables! We decided that thebber glove was definately the worst one!

Christ Church Brownies hosted a swap shop 🔄 for ♻️

Everyone brought in something they no longer played with and swapped it for something new to enjoy!
