Who is Depden for? There isn't one type of person who makes a great Farm Helper.

At Depden, we support adults with learning disabilities and other support needs — and everyone brings their own personality, interests, strengths and goals.

For one person, it might be about building confidence.

For another, it might be learning practical skills.

For someone else, it might simply be finding somewhere they feel comfortable, useful and connected to other people.

And sometimes it's about discovering what someone is capable of when they're given the right environment and the right opportunity.

🌱 There is no “one size fits all” at Depden.

It's nearly time for our Depden Family Fun Day!

If you've been meaning to come along… this is your reminder! 👇

Join us at Depden on Saturday 24 October, 10am–4pm for a lovely day out at the farm.

There'll be:
🐑 Animal encounters
🎃 Pumpkin carving
🌱 A farm trail
🔥 BBQ
☕ Tea, coffee & cake
❤️ And plenty of farm fun!

£5 entry | Pre-school children FREE

Whether you're a regular visitor, you've never been to Depden before, or you've simply been curious about what happens here — we'd love to welcome you.

Depden is a community asset, and it's the support of our local community that helps us continue doing what we do for our Farm Helpers.

So come along, bring the family, bring your friends, enjoy the farm and help us make it a brilliant day. 🌱

What are you up to on Saturday 24 October? 👀

How about a family day out at a working care farm?

We're getting ready for our Depden Family Fun Day and there'll be lots going on between 10am and 4pm!

🐑 Meet some of our animals
🎃 Have a go at pumpkin carving
🌱 Explore the farm trail
🔥 Enjoy a BBQ
☕ Grab a cuppa and a slice of cake

And, of course, you'll get the chance to explore Depden and see what happens here.

Depden is a place where our Farm Helpers come to learn, work, build confidence and be part of a community.

But they're not the only community that makes Depden what it is.

The support of our local community helps the farm thrive too — and we'd love you to come along, have some fun and see what we're all about. ❤️

It’s not just about the animals…

Yes, there are lots of animals at Depden. 🐑🐓🐴

And yes, they are pretty lovely.

But the animals are only part of our story.

At Depden, caring for animals can be a way of developing confidence, responsibility, practical skills and independence.

There are jobs that need doing. Animals that need looking after. Plants that need growing. Projects that need completing.

And when you have a role to play, you can really feel that your contribution matters.

That’s what makes a care farm different.

It’s not simply about spending time with animals.

It’s about doing, learning, contributing and belonging. 🌱

🌱 At Depden Care Farm, adults with learning disabilities and other support needs spend their days doing real, purposeful work on a working farm.

That might mean caring for animals, growing things, looking after the land, getting stuck into practical projects or learning new skills.

But perhaps most importantly, it means having a reason to get up, something to contribute to and a place where you feel valued.

Depden is about much more than keeping people busy.

It’s about purpose, confidence, connection, learning and having a meaningful day.

🌱 Come and enjoy a Family Fun Day at Depden Care Farm!

We're opening the farm gates on Saturday 24 October and we'd love our local community to come and spend the day with us. ❤️

Depden Care Farm is a special place - not just for the Farm Helpers who come here each week, but for the wider community too. And events like this are a chance for everyone to come together, enjoy the farm and help us celebrate what makes Depden so special.

There'll be plenty to enjoy:

🥇 WE HAVE A GOLD MEDALLIST! 🥇

Huge congratulations to our very own Greg, who was away from the farm last week competing at the Special Olympics GB National Summer Games in Birmingham — and only went and won GOLD in the men’s singles boccia! 🏆

What an achievement. We couldn’t be prouder of you, Greg. Absolute superstar! ⭐👏
