Last month we had a lovely demonstration from Tic Challis. It’s always a pleasure to host Tic and see what wonderful creations she has been working on.
This months meeting will be a hands on night with opportunity to have a go! Hopefully we’ll see you on Monday 22nd June, starting 7:30 at Rougham Sports Hall.

Tools with a Mission: Do you want to declutter but not throw things away? On the first two Sundays in June we will have a collection of unwanted tools. They will be delivered to TWAM (Tools with a Mission), a Christian charity in Ipswich, to be safety checked and repaired if necessary. They will then be distributed to the three Dioceses in Tanzania, whose Bishops we hosted for the Enthronement Service in January, and to Burundi. The items will be much appreciated there.

This month we are meeting one week early on Monday 18th May for a demonstration by Tic Challis, Tic is a local woodturner and artist who uses mixed media of woodturning and pyrography.

Last month we had a great demonstration from Jason Lock. Jason demoed a hybrid resin and stabilised timber box and showed the polishing process that he uses.
This month, on Monday 27th April we have a hands on night. We will be setting a 10minute turn challenge and will aim to have a lathe set aside for some tuition.
Meeting at Rougham Sports Hall, starting 7:30, £5 entry.

Last month we hosted and interesting demonstration by Carlyn Lindsay. Carlyn demonstrated a spinning top box and explained her precise laminating process.
This month we are meeting on Monday 23rd February for our AGM. Following the AGM we will have a few lathes set up for some pen turning. Hope to see you there!

We had some fun at last months Christmas Club night, some great efforts in all of the competitions!
This month we look forward to welcoming Carlyn Lindsay who will be demonstrating for us on Monday 26th January, starting 7:30pm, Rougham Sports Hall.

Last month we had a be excellent demonstration by Dennis Wake who was extremely informative in his demo of a trinket box, an elephant and a thin bowl.

This month we are meeting one week early on Monday 15th December for our Christmas Party. We do not charge for entry, but please bring a raffle price, a plate of food and money for raffle tickets. We also have a couple of challenges, firstly turn and bring a hanging decoration for a Christmas tree, these will be voted for on the night. Secondly turn a spinning top, there will be two categories either a finger spun top or a string powered top, or try both!

Last month we had an excellent demo from Mike Favager who turned crush & grind pepper mill and a whisky smoker. We also had presentation of lifetime membership to Vic and Ron for their services to the club over the years.
And huge congratulations to Rachel on completing her AWGB tutor assessment and certificate in woodturning from the Worshipful Company of Woodturners.

This month is hands on night, next Monday 27th October at Rougham Sports Hall.
