🕰 Throwback to the old J Sainsbury logo on top of it's supermarket building on Union Street in 1997 (not 70s sorry!)

Fond memories shopping in here with parents as a child, the smell of the bakery and proper deli counters - which are no longer a thing or downsized significantly.

🏡 Are there any gardening company's in the area who could give this man a job?

Spotted from a local group near Winshill..."He’s been walking round Winshill doing gardens in this heat, he’s fell on hard times but is an absolute grafter! He can’t drive however he has got lots of experience and does have a motorbike to get from A to B, he just needs a chance, please share".

😮 Bike thief spotted in a Burton residential area on someone's window camera.

He's seen loitering about picking up cigarette ends before taking away someone's bike and riding off.

The owner is asking for anyone who's seen this person and if possible to get in touch with more information.

⚠ MISSING PET CAT FROM ANGLESEY AND UXBRIDGE AREAS!

My cat got out around a week ago and hasn’t come back.

We’re hoping he’s still in the Anglesey/uxbridge area.

If anyone nearby could check their gardens and sheds to see if he’s hidden somewhere that would be greatly appreciated❤️

There’s a possibility he may have lost the collar as it has an anti choke release system.

If you believe you know where the cat from the image below is, please comment on this post and I will send you a message privately regarding the details etc

"We were delighted to welcome local legend Frazer Clarke to Cuckoo’s for breakfast this morning!

It was fantastic to have him stop by and enjoy a bite to eat. A true gentleman and a pleasure to have in the café."

🚰 A recent group post suggests a School in Burton has awarded negative points to a student for drinking in lab class?

We've also noticed comments on a school page in Derby reporting students aren't able to leave classes to refill their water bottle. Perhaps schools need to provide water jugs in-class to prevent distruption?

The Government advice during heatwaves suggest schools should encourage students to hydrate, provide and encourage children to drink more water than usual in hot weather.

East Staffordshire Borough Council posted the reminder earlier today, recommending residents to put their bins out the night before to avoid missing the collection.
