*Friday is Day of Eid for us Muslims*

Please send salutations on this *Blessed day of Juma* to the best of all creations the most honourable, the most noble, the most beautiful, the greatest of all the Prophets sallAllaah^alaa MuHammad sallAllaahu ^alayhi wa sallam. Our beloved Master صلى الله عليه وسلم

Sayyiduna Ibn Abbãs *رضي الله عنهما* narrates that Rasúlullãh *ﷺ* said

“Verily, Allah has made this day of *Friday* an Eid for the Muslims. Whoever comes to *Jumu'ah prayer*, let him:

*(1)* bathe himself,
*(2)* apply scent (itr) if he has it,
*(3)* and use the miswaak.”
*(Ibn Majah)*

*Today, being the day of Friday, let us recite Surah Kahf and abundant Salaat & Salaam (Durood) upon Nabi صلى الله عليه وسلم.*

*Can everyone do a special Dua for the Palestinians and all the oppressed in this world and may Allah swt free them from their Oppressors! Also keep all those who are ill and who need your Duas in your Prayers for whatever good they have wished for.*

🚨 COMMUNITY ALERT 🚨

*We would like to remind everyone, to remain vigilant following a concerning rise in attacks targeting Muslims and minority communities across the UK.*

These incidents serve as a stark reminder that we must remain alert and take sensible precautions to protect our families, homes, businesses, and places of worship.

We are in regular contact with the local Police and Council there is no intelligence to suggest that Burton will be targetted. However for safety it is important to remain vigilant at all times!

Anyone witnessing suspicious behaviour, threats, vandalism, or individuals acting suspiciously around homes or Masjids to call the police immediately.

We will not allow fear or intimidation to divide our communities. The overwhelming majority of people in our town reject hatred and extremism, but we must remain united and vigilant against those who seek to spread fear and target innocent families.

May Allah ﷻ‎ protect our families, our Masjids, and our communities from all harm, Ameen.

The NADRA team will be coming next *Saturday 6th June* to help with your:

• New NICOP card applications
• ⁠NICOP renewals

They will be here *From 10am to 2pm* at the *New Princess Street Education Centre next door to our Princess Street Masjid.*

*First come first served basis, limited to first 72 applicants*

*Please also bring photocopies of all your original documents (we will have photocopy facilities there for a small charge benefiting the Masjid) and the NADRA team will only be taking card payments.*

We look forward to celebrating Eid Al-Adha with you Tomorrow 💚 🐑 🐂 💚

*Let us come together in prayer, unity, and gratitude as a community.*

May Allah ﷻ‎ accept our prayers, sacrifices, and good deeds. Wishing you and your loved ones peace, happiness, and countless blessings.

Please walk to the Masjid ( if possible) but If you need to drive to the Masjid then please park your vehicles sensibly, without blocking driveways, entrances to businesses and the roads.

*SUNNAHS OF EĪD AL-ADHĀ*

1. To rise early
2. To use miswāk
3. To have a Sunnah bath
4. To dress in one’s best clothes in an Islamic manner
5. To use ‘itr
6. To avoid eating before the Eīd Salāh
7. To go early for Eīd Salāh
8. To go walking for Eīd Salāh
9. To read the Takbīrāt of Tashrīq in a loud voice while going for Eid Salāh

*Fasting On Arafah Day (Tomorrow)*

*Tomorrow, 26th May 2026, is the day of Arafah, the 9th Day of Dhul Ḥijjah and one of the most sacred days of the Islamic calendar.*

*If you are not performing Hajj, you are strongly encouraged to fast on the day of Arafah*

Fasting on the day of Arafah comes with lots of rewards and blessings.

*The Prophet ﷺ said:*
“Fasting on the Day of Arafah expiates the sins of the previous year and the coming year.”
(Muslim)

This is your reminder to fast tomorrow so don't just fast, do good deeds, give sadaqah, recite Quran.
