🌟 Spark Volunteer Shout Out 🌟

This week’s Volunteer Shout Out goes to our wonderful volunteer, Sally, who has gone above and beyond this week.

With the warm weather, Sally has spent extra time making sure all the plants and flowers in the Spark Garden have been well watered and cared for. She has also looked after the beautiful flowers outside the Springhill Primary Academy sign, helping to keep them looking their very best for any Year 6 leavers’ photographs.

It’s thoughtful acts like these that make such a difference to our community. Sally’s kindness, dedication and willingness to help, often without being asked, are truly appreciated by everyone at Spark.

Thank you, Sally, for everything you do - we’re so grateful to have you as part of the Spark team 💜🌸

💙 Our Values at Spark – Diversity 💙

Every family has their own story, experiences and traditions, and that’s something we celebrate at Spark.

We are proud to be part of a diverse community and believe that when people feel welcomed, valued and included, everyone benefits. Diversity helps us learn from one another, build meaningful connections and create a place where everyone feels they belong.

From our groups and activities to our World Wide Women International Group sessions, we are committed to ensuring all families feel seen, heard and supported.

Because at Spark, everyone is welcome. Always 🌍

A huge thank you to Tom and Dan from Lesters Packaging for spending the day with us filming for an exciting upcoming Spark project.

So much work goes into creating something like this before the cameras even start rolling, and we’re incredibly grateful for all the time, planning, creativity and preparation they have put in behind the scenes. Despite the heat, they brought so much enthusiasm, energy and commitment to making sure everything was just right.

We’d also like to thank the whole team at Lesters Packaging for their continued support. Tom and Dan have generously volunteered their time and expertise, and we are so grateful to be working with people who care so much about helping us tell Spark’s story.

We’re looking forward to welcoming them back next week for more filming and can’t wait to share the finished project with you all soon!

🌟 We’d also like to say a huge thank you to one of our wonderful Spark Parent Champions, Sian, for taking part in the filming today. Sharing your experiences helps others understand the difference Spark can make to families, and we really appreciate you giving up your time to be involved.

Due to the extreme weather conditions forecast for Thursday 25th June, Burntwood Library has cancelled all events taking place at the venue. Unfortunately, this means there will be no Spark Toy Library session this week. Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to welcome you back soon.

Due to the inclement warm weather Staffordshire Library Service have cancelled all events at Burntwood Library this week.

This means there will be no Coffee Shop or Place of Welcome, I’m very sorry but it’s our instructions and we need to be safe.

Take care everyone and see you next week
Susan

☀️ With the hot temperatures expected this week, we’re planning plenty of cooling activities to help everyone stay comfortable, including water play and other fun ways to keep cool!

🌳 We’ll also be making the most of our garden area, which has lots of lovely shade for children and adults to enjoy.

🧢 Don’t forget to bring hats, sun cream and anything else you need to stay safe in the sun. If your little one would like to join in with the water play, you may also want to bring a towel, a change of clothes, or swimwear.

💛 We look forward to seeing you at Spark this week and making the most of the sunshine safely☀️🌈
