Byte Theatre The professional arm of Burnley Youth Theatre.

Made up of young emerging actors, from all walks of life and backgrounds from Burnley and the surrounding area, who want to take the next step in their professional careers. Byteback Theatre was established in 2009 and had consecutively for six years brought a self-devised piece of theatre to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.

Hello 👋 3 members of FirstByte are performing in a brand new issue based play "Toxic" that's touring Lancashire Secondary Schools this month!

Book tickets to come and support the cast as they premiere the play at BYT next Thursday.

In this explosive new touring production, Toxic pulls no punches, exploring how the demands of UK school life can fuel harmful male stereotypes. A rapid-fire exploration of competition, emotional suppression, and the devastating cycle of aggression that can take hold when boys feel they can’t be vulnerable.
