Burnley branch of the British Sub Aqua Club (BSAC) was established in 1960. Branch No 0143 BSAC Branch No 0143. We provide a Socially Inclusive Membership.

For low-income persons claiming Income Support or Universal Credit, the elderly of State Pension age, people providing ‘Care without Pay’. Disabled divers (in receipt of disability benefit) as using the guidelines set out by BSAC in the ‘Diving for All’ program. Students in full time education

Two of the club members finish their 🤿 trip to Gozo with a Try Dive using the Triton Chest Mounted rebreather.😎
It could turn out to be an expensive Try Dive 😬

Two of the club’s technical divers are diving on Gozo & Malta & yesterday dived the Schnellboot a German fast motor torpedo boat that was sunk in 1942 after colliding with a loose mine, possibly one of its own.
The wreck lies in 65M & is a war grave with a permit to dive required.

This weekend we had an invite to help with marshalling the display area for wings on Windermere.
Some historic replica flying machines out on display for onlookers along shore and lake.
Our task was to ensure vessels & swimmers stayed clear of the display zone from the north.
After Friday evening was cancelled due to the weather we got the go ahead for the Saturday evening.

A great week of diving with Dean at Mevagh Diving, so good we have booked a club trip there again for September 2027

This weekend, 3 club members successfully planned and completed Bsac Deep Diver Wastwater Lake.

Club members have just returned from Gozo Malta 🇲🇹 after a 12 day CCR trip.
A varied trip, with a day visit to Malta to dive the JU88 plane, and a couple of days on scooters exploring new areas.
Getting divers & kit back up to speed after the winter slow down.
