Sea Cadets Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale The Royal Marines Cadets is for those aged 13-18. Do you fancy learning to sail a boat or how about learning kayaking or how to cook a meal on a camp fire?

Sea Cadets is a uniformed youth organisation based in Burnley, Lancashire for children and young people aged 10-18, of all abilities from the boroughs of Burnley, Pendle and Rossendale. Do you like to make new friends and have fun? Are you someone who loves a new challenge and would like the chance to spend weekends away from 'the adults'' having fun?? If you answered yes to any of these why not pop down to T.S.Lookout any Monday or Friday night. You will find us on Stanley Street (just under the viaduct in the corner of the car park opposite Bowling)

Our parade timings are:
Junior Sea Cadets (10-12yrs) - 18.30-19.30 every Monday and 19.45 finish on Friday's. Sea Cadets (12-18yrs) - 18:30 -20.30 every Monday and 19.15 - 21:30 on Friday's. Royal Marines Cadets (RMC) (13-18yrs)18:30 -20.30 every Monday and 19.15 - 21:30 on Friday's. Contact Details

This evening we held our first Thursday parade night.
The Juniors have been working on Halloween 🎃 decorations.
Whilst our seniors have been working on their fitness with a PT evening include the bleep test and practicing the Horn Pipe which is relevant with Trafalgar day having been this week.

We've got until 30 November to top up and aim to win up to £1500 for the unit to go directly towards equipment and activities for our cadets!

A part of Sea Cadets is getting our young people out into the community, from helping out at local events such as Poppy Selling, to raise funds for our local RBL, Santa's Sleigh with Padiham Rotary and Armed forces events such as Padiham on Parade and Burnley's Uniformed Services Fun Day.

Our cadets meet local mayors and MP's as well as members of the community and take part in Remembrance Services and parades throughout the year.

Monday and Tuesday saw our cadets learning Windsurfing and Paddlesport - a couple of pictures below of the kayakers launching and our windsurfer doing balance drills.

After a fab two days our cadets swopped onto new disciplines- one moved onto paddlesport and the others became sailors. Photos to follow soon!
