**Community Reception and Welcome to the New Bishop of Burnley, Rt Rev Dr Joe Kennedy**

It was both a privilege and an honour to have organised the reception for our new Bishop, Rt Rev Dr Joe Kennedy. I would like to express my sincere gratitude to the esteemed key figures who attended this significant event to extend their warm welcome.

The reception provided a wonderful opportunity for our Muslim community to present a positive and inclusive image to the wider community. In today's diverse society, it is crucial for us to nurture strong relationships with our interfaith neighbours, promoting mutual understanding and respect among various religious communities. Events like this play a vital role in breaking down barriers and fostering collaboration.

Not only did the event allow us to extend a heartfelt welcome to Bishop Joe, but it also facilitated meaningful dialogue that strengthens our communal bonds. The impressive turnout of Imams, scholars, community members, and political and religious leaders highlighted our collective commitment to building a harmonious society.

Through this gathering, we reaffirmed our dedication to working together, learning from one another, and creating a supportive environment where all beliefs are valued. Together, we can pave the way for a future marked by cooperation and unity, reflecting the rich tapestry of our shared community.

11-3 the event.
We had kids and some parents with bikes. Word will get out, as the kids enjoyed the bike sessions and strawberry and chocolate crepes…. Tea, drinks.
The bike rides depends on kids and weather. It went well with the youth session 11-1.

Whether you want to learn how to fix your bike, join us for a led ride (weather dependent) or just come for a brew, bite to eat and a chat! Led rides will commence at 1.30pm, a small number of bikes will be available if required.
