Burnley Wood Community Group Welcome the group is now under new leadership and we are excited to bring back the centre to all. Sensory room - covering many different interests.

We are a community group our aim is to enhance and benefit the residents of Burnley and the neighbourhood of Burnley Wood, without distinction of s*x, s*xual orientation, race or of political, religious or other opinions by bringing together the residents the local authorities, voluntary and other organisation's in a joint effort to improve education and provide facilities in the interests of soci

al welfare for recreation and leisure time with the aim to improving the lives of the residents. In pursuit of these aims and objectives the community group shall establish or secure the use of the community centre and to maintain or manage or co-operate with any statutory authority in the maintenance and management of such a centre for the benefit of the community. We provide a wide variety of regular activities, clubs, and social groups. Knit, Craft & laugh is back from tomorrow 1:30pm onwards. Our Knit & Natter group has expanded into more crafts as we get more people joining us so we decided a change in the name is needed

Hi folks,

Unfortunately, the committee has decided to suspend the monthly Lunch Club for the time being. Attendance numbers have dropped significantly, and the event is now requiring a substantial amount of resources to run.

That said, it’s not all bad news. We are looking to relaunch in September, potentially as a Brunch Club. This would be run as a trial, with the hope that it will attract more interest and provide a better experience for everyone.

The Christmas Lunch and Mother’s Day High Tea will go ahead as usual, along with our popular Halloween and Christmas party nights.

This change will also allow us to redirect resources and increase the distribution of food parcels, helping us support more people in the community.

Thank you all for your understanding and continued support.
