Free blood pressure checks are available at Ightenhill Park Buzz Hub every Wednesday throughout May, from 9am to 12pm.

High blood pressure is the biggest risk factor for stroke, and a stroke can happen to someone every five minutes.

Rebecca will be offering quick, free blood pressure checks, along with simple advice based on your results. There’s no need to book an appointment.

It only takes a couple of minutes, but it could make a real difference to your health.

Everyone is welcome.

Burnley City of Sanctuary Network working with New Neighbours Together hosted our Refugee Week Lunch yesterday.

The theme of Refugee Week this year is ‘Community as a Superpower’, and our Burnley community enthusiastically came together to produce a wonderful event.

A huge thank you to St John’s Primary School, Wellfield School and Burnley Council for their artwork contributions that helped making this an amazing Refugee Week celebration. There were lovely food from around the world, music, meet and mingle game, portraits of Burnley faces, children's artwork around "superpower of friendship" and an oil painting based on the story of one of our lived experienced managers' journey to safety.
The children's Artwork and the oil painting will be on display at Downtown Community Grocery from Thursday 19th to the following Thursday 26th, don't forget to pop along to see it if you can.

Thank you to all who attended and to our fabulous volunteers who worked tirelessly in making the event a success. We are stronger together and we are very happy to be part of building a diverse but inclusive community here in Burnley.

We wish a happy and blessed Eid to all those celebrating Eid-Al-Adha!New Neighbours Together 🙏💕Eid Mubarak! fans
