ALL-SORTS CHOIR – GIVE US A TRY!



What a great 2025 it has been, 22 performances including a concert where we raised £600 for Weston Hospicecare. We sung a variety of music from Musicals (Les Mis, Oklahoma, the Lion King), popular songs (You Raise Me Up, California Dreamin’, Edelweiss, The Sound of Silence, The Rose) and had an opportunity to reminisce as well (The Anniversary Waltz, All Things Bright and Beautiful, We’ll Meet Again).



Rehearsals start again on the 8th January 2026 in the East Brent Village Hall from 19.30 where we start learning songs from popular musicals Starlight Express, The Greatest Showman or Half a Sixpence.



Come for a taster session and see whether you like us. If you love singing and having fun give us a try.

What a lovely Christmas celebration at Brean Hub this afternoon! We were entertained by the All Sorts Choir who sang some beautiful Christmas songs and then we all joined in! We made a wonderful sound together.
Many thanks to all the volunteers who provided a sumputuos spread of food, including turkey, ham, roast potatoes, pigs in blankets, stuffing, peas, carrots and of course sprouts! This was followed by mince pies and coffee. It was food fit for a king! Well done everyone.
We would like to wish everyone a happy Christmas and a peaceful New Year.
Please note that the Brean hub will not be meeting until 8th January. The Berrow Hub will be meeting on the 30th December as usual.

This Tuesday we all celebrated Christmas at our Berrow Hub. There were about 40 of us all together enjoying a delicious ham and turkey meal followed by mince pies, cakes, chocolates and fruit! Tim’s Four Amigos then entertained us brilliantly with Christmas songs. Some of us got up and danced! Lovely to see so many smiling faces!

We were very happy to see children from Berrow Primary School on Tuesday. They entertained us with some wonderful singing and brought smiles to everyones face! Thank yoy to all the staff who made the afternoon so lovely.
We must also thank Claire and the team from Holiday Resort Unity who provided all the cakes and chocolates for the children. We are very grateful for their support.
We are now looking forward to our xmas meals next week. An opportunity to celebrate a special community.

We will be hosting a table at Sir Ashley Fox's Pensioners Fair on Friday 7th November from 10am until 1pm at the Methodist Church in Burnham. Do come and see us. As usual there will be cake!!

We were pleased to welcome PCSO's Millie and Craig this afternoon. It is always good to see them and share a cup of tea and a piece of cake!

We are pleased to announce that Caroline from the library service will be attending our hubs soon. She will give everyone the opportunity to borrow books and will explain what else the library can do for us.

Brean Hub celebrated the Harvest in style last week. The Princess Choir entertained with some lovely songs and the volunteers provided a wonderful meal. Many thanks to those volunteers and especially to Dave who bought all the items and then put them together for a lovely spread!
You will be made very welcome should you choose to join us. Every Thursday at Brean Village Hall. You might even win at Rummikub!

Berrow Hub enjoyed a lovely Harvest meal today, thanks to all those volunteers who made the meal such a success! Particular thanks go to Dave who managed the catering for us. As usual it was amazing!
The Princess Choir entertained us with their beautiful singing and a good time was had by all!
We are now looking forward to the next Harvest Meal at Brean Hub on Thursday.
Do come and join our happy crew. You will be made very welcome!

CAN YOU HELP?
Berrow and Brean hubs are really going well and the Good Neighbours team are very proud of what we are achieving in our communities. We have a regular attendance at Berrow of around 25 people and in Brean around 10 people.
We are looking for more volunteers to help us support the hubs. The job entails setting up, putting out tables and chairs and getting the tea, coffee and cakes ready. Our main job is to listen to all our friends as they arrive to attend the afternoon.
All our volunteers complete Safeguarding training, either online or in person. This is to ensure we create a safe place for people to share concerns and feel listened to.
