Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

Last Friday we had a full house at Betty's Club for our latest wild ride that is Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland' and the famous tea party. Alongside delicious sandwiches, homemade cakes and jam tarts there was even a white-(ish) rabbit...
We sang songs which chimed with our partygoers like The Beatles' "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "Strawberry Fields" as well as our clubbers' regular dance favourites like "Twist and Shout" and Bill Haley's "Rock around the Clock".
Alice's thoughtful observation in this fantastical fairytale might have made sense for many of our members: "I can't go back to yesterday because I was a different person then"...

We are at the Creake Abbey Spring Craft Fair today, there’s lots of stalls here, if your popping down please come and say hi and support us 🩷

Friday 13th might be unlucky for some, but at Betty's Club we were busy celebrating the love that our members feel for each other – not to mention the volunteers...! We collected our members' love stories, shared their wonderful wedding photos, ate delicious cakes they had made, shed happy tears through all the songs they chose and sang and danced to, remembering their love for each other. There wasn't anywhere we'd rather have been.
