The Peter Rudeforth Jazz Band will be thrilling us with the finest Dixieland and Swing this Sun 7 Jun in The Stables Garden, Buntingford! We’ve been introducing the musicians in the lead up to the event. Next up: Julian Stringle (clarinet) & Andy Flaxman (trombone) 🧡
Julian was a child prodigy reed player. He made his TV debut with Acker Bilk when he was just 14. He has recorded with Digby Fairweather, Sam Brown, Roy Williams, Jim Mullen, Marc Almond, George Melly, Joe Brown, Chas & Dave and the Spice Girls (amongst many others), and performed at Wembley Arena with Meatloaf and in Monaco with Tina Turner. Andy has worked extensively with the Syd Lawrence Orchestra, The Glenn Miller Orchestra (UK) and the Len Phillips Big Band. He is now the lead trombonist in Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Orchestra. He has also played trombone in many West End shows such as ‘Sinatra’ at the London Palladium, ‘Guys and Dolls’ at the Piccadilly Theatre and ‘Anything Goes’ at Theatre Royal, Drury Lane 💙
