The Green Economy Eco-Business Innovation Initiative for Young Entrepreneurs (GEEBIZ) is a youth-led innovation initiative that seeks to encourage youth to step up, and contribute in the move towards a green economy. Parallel to the ‘Road to Rio+20’ youth mobilization, the GEEBIZ Challenge has been launched as competition for young people from all over the world to come up with innovative green business plans. The best projects and their creators were invited to present them at the Rio+20 Earth Summit in June. By this time, several partners has joined GEEBIZ, who tends to serve as a platform for NGOs, Mentors, Incubators and Supporters creating opportunities for young green entrepreneurs to meet, exchange and act together. Accompanied by different side events, GEEBIZ runs a Challenge every two years: young people can win an opportunity to showcase their projects at the International Youth Congresses!
