There is nothing more touching and emotive than seeing a dog, who has gone through extreme trauma, give his world (Madalina) a tail wag.

The positive, healing energy we are sending to Tyson stretches to infinity.
When we saw his injuries and our Lulu told us about Madalina and the work she and Tyson do saving other dogs, how could we not step up and we thank you, our faithful supporters, for jumping on board and joining us on this emotional journey 🙏🏼

He is now back with Madalina and she will be giving him round the clock care with help from a local vet.
It will be a long road to recovery and we will follow him and update you regularly.

Good afternoon Funderbirdies! We hope you are enjoying a lovely weekend. How blessed are we with the weather again?! ☀️😎

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our supporters for rallying round to support the great incredible Tyson, a Romanian rescue who was savagely attacked this week and has been a canine blood donor, saving many other dogs’ lives.

As a new charity we are just getting started and have plans to put on some fun activities over the next few months, to build our own pot so we can use the funds to raise more and support these emergency situations.

Our Funderbirds volunteers are an amazing team - we don’t just ask you, we step up and dig into our own pockets and always try to lead by example. Co-founder Lulu Collins has been very closely involved with the rescuer involved and her own two dogs, both Romanian rescues, came from her.

The way you have all jumped in to help is overwhelming and we thank you from the bottom of our hearts 🩵💜

💔 TYSON UPDATE 💔
This was Tyson just one month ago, giving blood to help save other dogs’ lives.

Now he is fighting for his own. His attack was brutal, and his wounds are some of the deepest and most severe we have ever seen. He is stable, and today he finally ate, something he refused yesterday. That is a little glimmer of hope.

But he still has a long road ahead. Madalina is desperately worried about sepsis because of the depth of his wounds. He is on two antibiotics and being watched hour by hour. Medically, he is in the best place possible. Mentally, he is terrified. He is so deeply attached to Madalina, and being away from her has taken away his comfort.

When he is strong enough, he will go home, but that homecoming will bring its own challenges. He will need a new individual outdoor kennel, lots of warm bedding, bandages and ongoing care to give him the safest recovery possible.

Sometimes, seeing the heartbreaking reality is what makes our hearts stop, feel and act.

Tyson is one of Madalina’s rescues, a rescuer fully supported by K-9 Angels for over 13 years.

Madalina is especially close to Lulu’s heart, she rescued Lulu’s two dogs from the streets over 10 years ago.

Tyson has spent his life saving other dogs as a blood donor. Now he’s fighting for his own life.

💙🧡 MEET ECHO — LOOKING FOR HER FOREVER HOME 🧡💙

This beautiful girl is Echo, a gorgeous 3-year-old Staffy cross looking for the loving home she deserves. 🐾Echo is deaf, but that certainly doesn’t stop her! She’s affectionate, full of character and an absolute cuddle monster who loves her walks and being close to her people. ❤️She is looking for a bull-breed experienced adopter who understands her needs. Echo can live with other dogs, provided resident dogs are neutered, but her separation anxiety means she’ll need someone who can be home with her most of the time to begin with.Echo’s adoption agreement will include her being spayed three months after her next season.She has so much love to give and could be the most wonderful companion for the right person.

Wickerwork Workshop!
Ever fancied trying your hand at something different? Funderbirds friend and supporter, Mandy, is hosting a weekend of open air wicker work workshops and kindly donating £10 from every place sold to Funderbirds 🩵💜
